very average food but at a premium price. You would think with such oriental decoration, at least can afford to hire some genuine chinese chefs. The food is not authentic chinese nor american flavors. Service is below average. Waiter seems only watch how much you leave tips, not how much water left in your cups.
I've written about this restaurant before, so I will make this brief. We returned to Ming Court and it was absoultely outstanding again. Good service, excellent food, even when we deviated from the menu, beautiful environment, etc. Ming Court is one of my long term favorite Orlando restaurants and continues to beat my expectations. I'd eat there and take my friends there anytime.
My friends and I had a very nice lunch here today. We tried several of the dim sum items one soup and ordered 3 entrees. I asked for minimal oil to be used and they were willing to accomodate my request. I also asked for a change in the ingredients in my dish and they did it without a problem. All the food was fresh and delicious. Our server was very friendly and took care of all our needs in a timely manner. It had been awhile since we had been to Ming Court, but I'll be going back soon and often. Very nice experience.
I usually go to asian restaurants because I like sushi, and the oriental music, the atmosphere were one of the tops there! This restaurant is located in the heart of Orlando's night life (International Drive) and the whole experience there was awesome!
Ambiance is definitely nice. Good is good, but I've had better. Kids have fun feeding & looking at fish. Only pitfall: very pricey: We've spend over $75 (before tip) just for a dim sum lunch for family of five (3 small kids all under 10, ate very little.) If you don't mind paying for the ambiance, then this is a place to go for lunch.
Clearly trying to appeal to children, our waiter practically ignored us while clowning with our table and the two next to us. He was loud and so un-funny we found it interfered with our growing indigestion.
Oh and the amazingly boring dishes didn't help!
Ho hum and not cheap!
