Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe, Lake Buena Vista

I decided at Wolfgang Puck's cafe just because that is one of the resturants I haven't been to at Downtown Disney. To be honest, it kind of intimidated me. Big name chef usually means high prices. But I figured I would give it a try. The exterior of the resturant is semi-modern. That's the best way I can describe it. Multi-colored tiles surround the door and there is an outdoor seating area if you want to eat outside. When you walk in, you see an open air kitchen which is great to watch. There's a large stair case which leads to the dinning room which opens after 6pm. The cafe downstairs has a bar in which you can sit and watch your meal being made. It also has a fresh sushi bar and multi-layered seating areas with booths and tables. The staff is very helpful. The hostess brought me to my table. And my waiter was very kind. He, I sadly do not recall his name, was great. He asked a question that I had never been asked before -- do I have any food allergies. Even though I don't, I thought this was a great question. I ordered a Chicken Panini (which came with french fries) and a Cosmo for lunch. The Cosmo is to die for. Also included in lunch is fresh bread that tasted like it had basil baked in it. It also came with olive oil for dipping. The total cost came to about $22 which is a little highter than I normally pay but it was a great change of pace. I would recommend this place at least once.
