Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill, Orlando

It was better when Darden restaurants owned it. It use to be like a ski lodge inside. The first time I ever visitied here back in 2000 I was impressed. No matter where you sat you had a good view of a TV. It was also more upscale. Now they try to make it a sports bar with trivia night. If you are into that it is o.k. The food is good but, not outstanding. It is a good hang out place but, there are so many hang out places in Orlando already. If you are just looking for outstanding BBQ then this is not the place for you.

I've been to quite a few BBQ's in my day and I'd say this place rates up there near the top. I had the ribs and was 110% satisfied with not only the meat, but the sauce was very different from anything I've had in a while (in a good way.) Our server seemed a little less than ambitious to serve us, however the rest of the staff was more than happy to take care of any needs we had. Also, the first two times we tried to order a beer, the server came back to notify us that they were out of that selection.

To say nothing about the fact that every time I go to a smokie bones I get stomach cramps and well, I won't be overly discriptive. ICK.

Overpriced, small portions, does nothing for my palette. Florida is filled with franchises there are no real good restaurants here. I have been dying to have some GOOD BBQ here but have had NO luck.

I've been there 3 times...3 different Smokey Bones and I tell you what you gotta commend them on their consistency. Each time the food has been marginal at best and OVERPRICED. The portions are so small that its not worth the visit. It looks so nice, but looks are deceiving. I thought my family and I were going to sit down to some good, plentiful food...instead we came out with less money in our pockets and afraid based on the portions we got that we'd be hungry again in an hour. Don't go there if you are hungry. I ordered the chicken the first time for dinner and it was as thick as a slice of white bread (it wasn't even juicy), I got 5 small broccoli florets, and before I sent it back for some better bread, 4 toasted tortilla triangles. I think I paid about $12 for that. The sound box for the TV never even worked when we sat at a table 2 out of the 3 times. I vowed to never go back again but a group was going that I knew. The food was again not memorable, but at least I didn't have to pay that time. Do yourself a favor...if you want real BBQ, go to Bubbalou's or O'Boys or even one of those travelling carts in Pine Hills or Parramore or Eatonville. Okay, so maybe you're taking your chances with the guy on the street, but at least you'll be more satisfied than at Smokey Bones!

I was recently escorted to this establishment, and the food was awesome. The ribs were very flavorful , and what surprised me the most was the steamed broccoli I ordered, it was seasoned to perfection. I'm trying to eat right (well as well as I can LOL) so I ordered the steamed broccoli and it was very very good. Everything else was very good as well Try It !

I have never been there but hubby wanted something different. he convinced me to try it. it is on my regular eats list.

FRIENDLY STAFF, GOOD FOOD AND GREAT ATMOSPHERE FOR A CASUAL DINING. THE TELEVISIONS WERE A GREAT ADDITION FOR THE RESTAURANTS IT GIVES IT MORE OF A HOMELY FEELING. THE WOOD THAT IS EVERYWHERE ALSO MAKES IT A FRIENDLY PLACE TO DINE IN.

I love BBQ and rare is it I find a place that does BBQ well, and man did I ever find one. Here you can watch TV and you got control over what you're watching, and you don't feel bored while you're wating for your food. Nice place, friendly servers, and awesome food.

I love the atmosphere. Great place to go hang out and meet great people. Have many special nights for differnet types of people - but basically everyone can feel confortable here.
