We went on a Thursday Night and there was no one there. They charged outrageous prices for food and drink. The Bartender by far was one of the most snobbiest I have ever met, He saw some people come in and complained about them not tipping him 20% last time, so he ignored them for 15 mins. and then questioned me about my tip. Save your Money and go somewhere else.
Family owned and operated. Great food, great atmosphere. Food is great...one of the best hamburgers you can get...cooked exactly the way you want it. Great selection of beer and alcohol. Looking for a place to relax and have beer with great food and watch a game...You found it! O'Keefe's Irish Pub
Have eaten here several times, always willing to give a restaurant another chance but I ve given O Keefe s way too many chances. The service stinks and the food taste s average for such high pricing. There is one blonde woman (the owner s sister in law maybe) who is one of the rudest people I have ever met in a restaurant environment. The place is never busy when we go there and I am starting to understand why.
THis place is way OVERPRICED the help is more interested in talking about what they did last night yesterday what their going to do then to wait on you plus when we were their a waitress was DUSTING right around our table while we were trying to eat grossed me out try someplace else !!! Plus the food was just aceptable nothing special !
Our family made a quick dinner decision for Father's Day and opted for O'Keefe's. We had plenty of prior experience there over more than 20 years and had generally been pleased with the food and drink. The service had been suspect in several past visits. Tonight began with what seemed to be a tag team between two waitresses in only a lightly crowded dining room. I surmised initailly that there was only one waitress and this did not bode well. But, I was wrong, as after a long wait our fourth menu arrived with the waitress who evidently covered our table. I asked if there were specials not on the menu and she fumbled thru some hand written note cards to report to me what the soup was and that the special entree was lemon capers. OK, we dug into that and found that the choice was actually salmon or mahi in lemon capers. We ordered, ate and drank, then awaited our check. New patrons arrived and sat at the next table. This was unfortunate in that we listened to the other waitress describe the specials, now including Veal Marsala. Rats! I would have enjoyed a Veal Marsala. Here is the summary: The wait staff is either unskilled or untrained, or both. We were very disappointed with the experience. I sense the competition in this downtown location has picked up during the past year and O'Keefe's is not keeping up. The food was actually good, but the experience was not good.
The food here is simply amazing. The chef takes many liberties in the Irish restaurant, as witnessed in the daily specials. One day it's surf and turf, the next it's stir fry or chicken soup recipes from around the world.. One of the few places that specializes in trying something new in the kitchen. Their chicken wings will beat almost any wing house out there. Excellent place will return many more times, as a proud Mug Club Member.
