Appletons Cafe, Lake Mary

I was in the area on business and had only the afternoon there, went to Appletons Cafe and was so happy I went there instead of the dozen or so fast food and tourist restaurants in the area. The service was OUTSTANDING. Had the home made clam chowder, loaded with potatoes and clams, and then the homemade meatloaf sandwich. Wow, this was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had -- super soft, crusty roll, homemade meatloaf that tasted fresh from the oven, provolone cheese, and grilled onions. Accompanied by homemade coleslaw and washed down with unsweetened iced tea, this was quite a meal, and for only $11 (plus tip) it was well worth it. I would highly recommend this local place to everyone who drives by!

The bomb cheese steak, great greek salad. The prices are a little high but they make up for it in quality and quanity. The staff is very nice and its a mom and pop homestyle restaurant. They do close @ 3pm

I stopped there today-they're only open until 3pm, so get there before then...!

Ate here twice and both times food made me feel sick, I think it is just to greasy, breakfast was just a plate of slop, nothing fresh about it. Stay away from the canned corn beef hash.. oh my! trust me on this one.. May going again, have a coupon and try a nice salad.

Ate at Appletons Cafe this morning for breakfast. The Food was great, The Service was Outstanding and the Halloween Decorations were Incredible. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Ate there recently. Canned corned beef when they used to make it from scratch several years ago. I don't need to go out when I can eat canned corned beef at home. Pancakes were okay.
