Gina's Lakeside Grill, Altamonte Springs

I just got back tonight from having dinner at Ginas with my husband. I must say this has to be one of the worst places I ever been. I went once a few years ago and it was so amazing its such a shame how ginas went down hill. Anyone reading this save yourself the trouble and eat at burger king. Burger king really is a much better place then Ginas

Perfect location right next to a beautiful park. I love looking out onto the water as I eat. I also thought the food was pretty good, but the service was very slow. This is usually not a problem for me, as I'm not in a hurry often, but it was extremely slow. It felt like we were waiting forever for everything that we ordered/asked for. If you've got time to kill though, it's a nice place.

Horrible. The only reason you should dine here is if you want to have a drink by the lake. The setting is wonderful, but everything else is horrible. Should be on Kitchen Nightmares.

Poor Management! Came here for a Wedding After Party. The bride & groom had set it up with the Restaurant ahead of time for us to come here after the reception so that they would be prepared for our large group. We arrived an hour before the kitchen was scheduled to close our large party had mostly arrived, been seated, received a drink, and was ordering appetizers from the menus - when the manager came to our group and said that the kitchen was closed and took the menus away from us. Needless to say our group was Very Upset and after pushing for explanations, he finally said that they were out of food. After more discussion between the manager and another member of our party we managed to get 8 appetizers ordered for our party of over 50 (the appetizers were eaten in less than 2 minutes). To remedy the lack of food for our group we ordered some pizzas from the nearby Pizza Hut. When the pizzas arrived the Manager again visited our group and said that our outside food was not allowed on their patio, we asked again for more of their food, but he again refused to serve us (all the while people inside the restaurant were eating). After much debate our group was asked to leave. As we were leaving the establishment, we couldn't help but notice the employees out back feasting on food from the kitchen that was suppose to be out of food. So if you are considering taking large groups to this establishment may I recommend the nearby Bahama Breeze, much more spacious patio, more polite management, and accommodating to large groups. Everyone in our group vows to never return to Gina's again.

The food at Gina's is great. That's where it ends. We went in at 7pm on a Saturday night. The staff up front looked like they were running around crazy. We asked how long for a table of four and the hostess said she didn't know. I heard another party talking to the manager asking if they could call their cell phone when their table was ready (which is a service they offer). His response was, well I have like 30 other cell phones of waiting customers I need to call. The wait list had about 5 people on it. They told us it would be 1/2 hr to 1 hr. It was really about 10 minutes. Good thing I waited there because they didn't call my phone. Throughout the course of the meal the waiter forgot bread, lemons, ketchup, refills, and 1 appetizer. When I finally did get a refill he literally took the cup away from me as I was drinking. We waited 40 minutes from the time we ordered desserts and 20 minutes before he brought us the coffee that went with it. The place only has about 15 tables inside and there must have been 5 waitstaff on working so I can't figure out why everyone seemed so stressed and busy. The manager seemed to be bothered by customers anytime someone tried to talk to him. I did like the food, but never want to eat there again. If you want to try it - get take out!

We recently celebrated our parents 50th Wedding Anniversay at Gina's and I have to say the food and service was excellent. The staff sectioned off an area for our party.... felt like we had the place to ourselves. Our servers were pleasant and saw to it that we had everything we needed. Gina's made my parents day extra special. Thank you! I plan on going back.

myself and my boyfriend had a meal and drinks at ginas, the service was the worst we ever saw, some people complain about the manager we couldent even find him to make one, wont be going back ever.

This place is not Italian. I don't know if it was at anytime. I think it used to be but it definately isn't now. Do not go to expext any Italian food.

My husband and I went for our 13th anniversary. We sat outside on the patio the weather was great the atmosphere was wonderful our waiter was Matt I ordered a mixed drink which was watered down we ordered an appetizer (Gina's triple play) and our meal baby back ribs and dinner saled for each of us Matt commented on what an easy order it was. Not long after we finished our saled our dinner was brought out, we never received our appetizer nor did we receive the bread that was to come with our dinner order. We told Matt we needed a refill on our tea and soda he never came back.We had to ask the waitress that was tending to her tables, 3 tables from ours if she could get us refills on our tea and soda when she had a chance. She brought us our drinks right away not once but twice yes we had to ask her again towards the end of our meal.While we were eating our meal the table to our left was complaining some of there food was cold. The table to our right was not pleased with there drinks. O we did see Matt when he brought us our bill. We normally tip 20% we tipped nothing for the first time.

Living in Altamonte Springs,Florida was the best place to live when you have a place like Gina's with great food live music and a Lake side view as the sun goes down over the water great service and Patty makes the best drinks. Aloha from Audrey Best
