We've been there three times and have always been disappointed. Kept hoping it would get better, but no. Three strikes, you're out. Food is bland and boring; service so-so. The last time we went, my husband pulled a very long hair out of his hash browns and the waitress tried to tell us it was part of the potato skin as they make their own hash browns and all the cooks are bald. (!) Funny, they tasted like frozen hash browns to me, and that was definitely a hair. Fairly high priced as well, considering the low quality of the food. Go for the atmosphere, if you like lots of TVs and faux '50s advertising on the walls, but don't expect tasty cuisine.
By far the best restaurant for the price in High Springs. This is a great replica of a 50's style dinner - they even have working juke box and there is no charge to play your favorite oldies music. We went there after a long day at Ginnie Springs and on the Ichetucknee River. We were wet, tired and hungry. No one seemed to mind our appearance and the staff was very friendly and our kids loved it. They allow pets on their patio and even have a doggie menu. They have a full bar with specialty drinks like no one else, the food was fresh and tasted great. This is a must for anyone visiting the springs. They are located off Highway 441 just north of the HWY 27 split - you can't miss the 50's authentic diner style building.
Floyds Diner is located in High Springs FL on Santa Fe Blvd. Prices are great for the amount of food you get. Lots of choices with daily specials. Wait staff is very friendly!! Live music 7 nights a week!! They have bike night once a month!! Your choice to dine inside or out on the patio. Very clean restaraunt!!
There are no dislikes about this business. If my husband asks me where I want to eat I always say Floyd's. When my brother is in town he always says let's go to Floyd's. The soups are always great and the steak is heavenly. I have never eaten anything that I didn't like and want the reciepe.
When my husband and I go to North Central Florida for Gator Growl we are definetely stopping by Floyd's for Breakfast. The Blueberry Pancakes at Floyd's are stellar, the best pancakes I have ever had!!
