Seabreeze Restaurant, Cedar Key

Seabreeze in Cedar Key has reopened under a new owner. My family ate there on Saturday, July 16, 2011. What a mistake!!! They need to shut down and do a thorough cleaning of dining room and bathrooms; train the wait staff - very slow and unattentive - very few people there but waited a good while before anyone came to even get our drink order; and revamp the menu. They were working with a temporary menu, but come on folks, the food was pretty bad. Interestingly, the person at the cash register, whom we persumed was the new owner, wasn't friendly, nor the least bit interested in asking customers if everything was satisfactory. This place will never make it unless some serious changes are made. We won't be going back.

Excellent food and fair pricing. You must visit! Our party had many varities of seafood and it was great. I absolutely loved the fried shrimp and there signature heart of palm salad. Excellent view over water. We watched the dolphins and pelicans from our table.

6/25/10 Absolutly very disappoionting!!!!!!!!!! We had some friends visiting from south Florida & were bragging about the Sea Breeze......Well, first they REFUSED to take credit cards & debit cards ???? CASH ONLY !!!! Whats that all about ?? Under the table or a BP money loss issue??????? We had to sit down in the bar due to the AC broken......not recently!!! When we received our food it was NOT the same quality!!! The waitress was NOT friendly either!!!!!!!!!!!! Very Disappointed!!!! NEVER AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would not recommend this restaurant. The service was extremely poor for a day when there were 3 waitress and only 6 couples dining. It took over 20 minutes to be served a grouper sandwich and a Reuben sandwich. Our order was forgotten so it had to be placed in the microwave to be reheated. This of course dried out the French fries, which there was not enough ketchup in the World to recover from. It also dried out the bread for the sandwich, so the grouper sandwich became grouper fish sticks. When approached about the meal the waitress tasted the food and agreed it was bad, but said she could not do anything about it. On a positive note the Reuben was OK, but the view was breathtaking.

Outstanding in every respect. View was fantastic, seafood was great, clam chowder was fantastic, bar drinks were good. Would recommend.

Waiting for about five mintes for the hostess to finish eating something and then went to get someone else to seat us. We sat next to the window and the waitress took are order fast and brought out our soup and salad quick, not much to eat. Then the meal came quicker then I would have though. I had the Platter w/ a tiny Grouper, scallops, shrimp and scottish fries. I give it a (2.5) 1-5. My wife had shrimp and clam shrips with scottish fries. She gave it (3) 1-5. After that we hade a choclate pie $4.75 slice. Give it (5) 1-5. For two people it was $48.62 w/o tip.
