Peg Leg Pete's, Pensacola Beach

I am a Gulf Breeze Native and we love this place. The oysters are fat and the live music is groovin', and the service is fine. This is my favorite sea food joint

I agree with all of the previous reviews: waitress was super-friendly and got everything right. The food was also fantastic and reasonably priced. I had the sampler and the grouper, shrimp and scallops were delicious. Also had a great kids menu with their dinner served in a sand pale... :) Great view of the sound.

We visit Pensacola about six times a year to visit our son and family. We always visit Peg Leg Pete's and have a great meal. This last visit June 13 was like all the others, great food, great service and great ambiance. Keep up what you are doing! The char grilled grouper and shrimp are spectacular!!!

We live an hour away and choose Peg Leg's whenever we want to eat out for special occations, it's worth the drive. We have had poor service once but that was a fluke, not the norm. Every menu item we have ever tried, which is most of them, is terrific, from sandwiches to steaks. Our favorites are the baked oysters, try the sampler, and crab leg dinner. The children love it and I will be having my company Christmas party here this year as well. If you have never been....you must try it. It has seating indoors and out, a bar to wait if you hit it during a busy time (the bloody mary is out of this world), and of course the playground, there is also a marina so drive your boat for a real adventure. Prices are good, you can choose a meal for $8 or $20 depending on what you want to spend.

I dislike the long wait. Seating seems to be limited. However if you have kids the playground area is nice especially if there is a long wait.

We had never eaten here before but locals gave a thumbs up. We got there on a saturday night at 650 pm with a party of (4) adults (4)16-17 year olds and (2) 13 year olds and were told to expect a 2 and half hour wait. Decided things looked good and a good band was playing so we stayed and within 38min we were sitting at our table. Food was great for all and service fantastic! Music great.

Well, the hostess girls were not very friendly. I took a group of 9 with mixed ages. They have limited seating inside and none inside for large groups Even if you're not in a large group you still might be sitting outside. I would only suggest this place if you are in a small group and you can wait for an inside table. The food was good, and the waitress is average.

My wife and I vacation in Pensacola 2-3 times a year, and Peg Leg Pete's is our favorite hang-out. The bartenders and wait staff are quite friendly. The view over the bay is nice . .overall, a very fun atmosphere. We generally go for the appetizers. A visit to Peg Leg Pete's is always a treat!

Cool, kinda beach-y place....we really had a good time here, despite the food. Actually, the food was not too bad, it was just nothing special. We got the grilled platter and a cup of gumbo. Gumbo was okay, scallops and shrimp were okay, grouper was good. It was basic food..nothing to write home about. Waitress was on drugs, I think. :O) We were there two hours and when we were ready to leave, she came back and had no clue what we had ordered or who we were or what she served us. We had to tell her. She was a wreck. For real. Bill came to $80.00 for 4 people, but the food was not worth it..we did have a good time tho. Must have been the company.
