If you are within 30 miles of Dave s, you need to get there !
Cold beer, the best oysters I have ever had(after 50 yrs eating them), and everything else we and friends have had, and Dave is the real deal. Nothing fancy, but you can not beat it anywhere close.
My first visit was on a slow night and I have to say I was impressed, the oysters were great tasting and service was well for the 2 people working. I decided to come back on a friday evening, which apparently was not a great idea or the Guy behind the bar was having a horrible day. First thing I was told when I walked in was what they were out of with a horrible attitude. 2nd I was advised after saying we only wished to have oysters that I need to place the full order now no multiple orders. After those 2 bad service experiences I told them I would come back on a more relaxed evening. Really a bummer to get horrible customer services after having decent first experience. I m not saying I ll never go back, because the oysters were good and the beer was cold they just need way better customer service
Fantastically fresh, yummy oysters and other good food. This could be a hidden gem but there is a grumpy female waitress there all the time. Her attitude doesn t make the drive or the food worth the trip. Shame.
I think Daves Oyster Bar is by far the best place to eat COLD FRESH SHUCKED OYSTERS! The service is outstanding, they do get busy.. so if your impatient go at times when not. I would recc. this bar across the world. Stop by and eat.. There all the time!
I visited Dave's Oyster Bar in Gulf Breeze in July 2009. It's not much to look at from the outside (basic strip mall front), but they serve some awesome food there. We had steamed oysters and Cajun oysters; both were terrific but the Cajun ones were simply outstanding (great seasoning with fantastic flavor). The chicken wings (for my son) were good, as were the fries and other things we ordered. If you want a really good raw bar in the Pensacola area, you can't beat this. The staff looks like local skate dudes but were really nice to our family and did a solid job.
By the way, we ate at Peg Leg Pete's in Pensacola Beach the night before and had oysters there - they were good but Dave's were far, far better and were a bit cheaper as well. No knock on Peg Leg's but Dave's is the place for oysters. If we get back to the Pensacola area we're definitely going back.
Great Oyster's. Really Clean Place too. If your a true Oyster eater like me. Might want to wait on a special's night if they have one? I left with a 60 dollar bill and only had oysters ..
They were really good though. Enjoy.
they said some other fried food was coming soon too. Cool
