Marina Cafe, Destin

We had a large group for dinner there last October. The service was fabulous, and the food was delicious. We loved the beautiful view as night fell. We will go back again on our next family trip to Destin.

The food is excellent and the location has a beautiful view of the harbor. Plus if you arrive between 5-6pm most entrees are buy one get one free. We dine here every year we come to Destin and have had consistently great food.

We had Thanksgiving dinner there and it was WONDERFUL! The food was excellent and so was the service. I will definitely go again!

We went on a Wednesday night for the early bird special. Got there about 5:30 (early birds get buy one dinner get one free daily from 5 to 6 pm). Didnt have to wait at all, I would say there were maybe 10 to 12 other parties in there. We ordered fairly quickly, but the food took FOREVER. It took over and hour and a half to get our dinner. Funny, the bartender was quick with the $10 drinks - but the cook couldnt quite catch up! I swear I think once they find out your drinking they slowed down the order so you would spend more on drinks since one of the meals was free with the early bird special. The food was great, dont get me wrong, but after sitting for over and a hour and half - what wouldnt be. After dinner we went over to the bar area (because it was ladies night and ladies drank house wine and call drinks for $2 all night - at the bar only, not with dinner). And they had the same situation going with the 1/2 price pizza and sushi. Everyone there said their pizzas took over an hour and half to get there. Now the pizzas look great, but if your drinking and starving, that can be a long hour and half. So to summarize, food was great - but go when your not that hungry and have plenty of time to kill! Views were wonderful. If they would just speed up the service it would have been perfect - but I think they know what they were doing. Our drink tab was far more than our food tab was...but that's our own faults.

Destin has a real treasure in the Marina Cafe. I have been known make reservations for every single evening while we are vacationing in this area. Simply put, the food and service are outstanding! Wally makes the visit complete with his time and attention to every guest

Beautiful view, contemporary decor and food is creative and very tasty. Our server was great, fun and chose an awesome bottle of wine for us. We had a blast and would revisit without hesitation. Try the crab claw stuffed pork and creme brulee. YUM!!

After suffering through Destin's abundance of fried seafood, nautical decor, and Jimmy Buffett's music, the Marina Cafe is a breath of fresh air. Lovely ambience, attentive service, and above all, beautifully prepared and presented seafood and other dishes. Even the background music was enjoyable on an unusually good sound system. And to top it all off, entrees are two for one before six pm! Highly recommended.

I will have to say right up front, the food was delicious but, I've had food that is just as good at a quarter of the price! I wish we had known about the buy one entree get one free special that they have between 5-6 pm. Our meal, without any alcohol was over $100! The appetizer was miniscule. Our waiter was very pushy and insisted we have dessert, even after we told him numerous times, we weren't interested and apparently he didn't know how to count money. He shorted us approx. $6 on change, which was reflected in his tip. We will not be returning to Marina Cafe.

Wonderful place. Great food and fantastic atmosphere. Waiters are professional and knowledgeable. Menu makes good use of local seafood. Would recommend for anyone who wants a fine meal in a beautiful restaurant.
