We've eaten here several times a month since we retired here 5 years ago. Food is always excellent, service commendable, and the price is always right! Though we have our favorite dishes, there is always a good special when we want something different. A table side visit by the owner checking on things is always appreciated. I see a lot a the same people from the local community who have the same excellent give-and-take rapport with the owner that we do. There can be a slight wait for a table during tourist season but they have a room inside for you to sit and wait, so no waiting outside like some places. This is an excellent locally owned establishment.
I had the worst experience of any restaurant ever at this place. First of all, they don't tell you that specialty toppings count as two regular toppings anywhere on the menu but they will charge you for it. The service is awful, and their people skills are even worse. I would never go back here again if they paid me for the service that we received. The amount of food that you get for what you pay for is not worth the money; in other words, a whole plate instead of the half is extremely small. The attitude of this place absolutely disgusts me and I am one that is easily pleased. Do not go here...don't say that I didn't warn you!
I admit up front I am bowling pals with the owner of Bellissimo. But I discovered he owned this fine Italian restaurant only a few months ago, and I've been eating at Bellissimo for years. It is not a place you go for ambiance, unless the simple furnishings and open air quality of the restaurant are to your liking. Frankly I get a kick out of being able to see my food and fellow diners. Speaking of the food ... what can I say? It's terrific. My favorite is the personal pizza, a 9-inch platter of fluffy dough swimming in melted melted cheese, black olives and jalapenas. At least that's how I get mine. Beer is reasonable, service is terrific and the bill won't have you fumbling for your credit card.
