Fudpucker's Beachside Bar, Fort Walton Beach

My friend and I went into Fudpuckers on Okaloosa Island last night for dinner. It wasn't crowded, which was nice. However, there were three adults and one child in a booth. The child was sitting on the table, screaming at the top of his lungs. The child was at an age that should have known that that was not appropriate behavior in a restaurant The man in the group was patting the child on the chest and back, making the screaming sounds change. The louder the child screamed, the more the adults laughed, which caused the child to scream that much louder. I didn't see any adult management or adult supervision in the restaurant doing anything about it, so we decided to leave. As we walked out, we told the three teenage girls who were working the reception desk that we were not going to sit there and listen to the child scream. They said they were sorry, but did not offer to do anything about it. Then I asked if they were serving at the outside tables. The response was that they did not have any servers outside. I guess they would rather lose customers than try to accommodate them. We went to the High Tide Restaurant just down the street. The atmosphere was quieter and the food was probably better. We are locals, not tourists, so I am just letting you know what a local thinks of this restaurant.

I had my first Fuddpuckers experience this weekend in Destin, and I absolutely loved it! Our server was great, and I had a great drink at an even better price. I will definitely go back.

we went at lunch time there was no crowd, the service was terrible the food was not any better, and a quick lunch turned into an all day affair. the sandwich i ordered came w/ fries i literally had 4 on my plate. the manager gave us 50% off because of the slow service and got our check there had been no discount, which meant another 20 min. to get that straight. not recommended whatsoever.

Nothing special about the food, you could tell that it sat under a heat lamp for a while. The only thing this place has going for it is the enviroment. I would NOT recommend this to anyone.

Maybe the worst eating experience in years. The food was very low quality. The steak was over cooked and the shrimp was horrible. The waiter forgot our salads and brought them half way through the meal. I would have asked him about them but he was no where to be found most of the time. I should have been suspicious when at 7pm on Valentines day the parking lot was nearly empty. To top it all off the prices are way over the top. I don't know how they have stayed in business this long but I can only put it down to the fact they get a new crop of new customers every season. Stay away..........m

This is a great family restaurant. My kids always have a great time, and they eat free right now! The service is great, and you will have a fun time here!

I have to agree the wait was very long! I think it took an hour and 45 minutes for us to get a table. And like others mentioned there were available tables, so I don't really know why they didn't seat people at them. Unless they were just that understaffed. The food, however, was awesome. I didn't have seafood. I had the filet! It was excellent and worth the wait. My husband got the fried seafood, but wasn't too thrilled about it. So it's kind of funny that the thing you'd think would be a speciality and really good wasn't. But the steak was, and I recommend it, only if you have a lot of time to wait for it. And the prices weren't so bad either, I mean compared to all the other places they were about the same. And my son had fun playing on the playground while we waited to. We wouldn't have been able to wait that long if there hadn't been a play area for him. I'd probably go back some day, just not during tourist season again.

Excited to go, then when our food came.... might as well went to grab fast food. It was not restaurant quality food, nothing special, tasted as if my hubby opened up frozen food and popped it in the microwave. Service was service, do not fall into their colorful ads and what may seem to be magical experience. I had burger and hubby had pulled pork and we also had appetizer that was for happy hour for like 3bucks, tasted like it was food from airplane. DO NOT GO HERE if you are expecting an excited time with your kids, think twice and keep driving to Mississippi and eat at a chili's in the middle of nowhere.
