Kinfolks Bar-B-Q, Fort Walton Beach

Was riding by Race Track Road and saw a small hole in the wall BBQ restaurant. Some of the best BBQ I have ever had (sliced pork with their vinegar BBQ sauce). No one else in Destin, FWB or Niceville comes close. As you know, almost all restaurants are horrible in FWB. This is a great find.

Had lunch there the other day. Price was 18 dollars for two adults and a 2yr old. The tea tasted bitter and as if it were left out over night, not freshly made. The Chipped pork sandwich had a faint smoke flavor and the meat was moist. The bun was a regular hamburger bun. The hotdogs are smoked and had a great flavor. the boy seemed to love them that way. The fries tasted great, not sure of the seasoning, but they were great. The coleslaw was bland. Some slaw, a piece of pickle here and there, and some juice. It was a sweet slaw, but bland. Overall, the price was great, the food was average, but I would not recommmend nor go there again.

Ate there for the first time tonight..and I have never had BBQ like this. It was salty and the sauce was mixed in the meat and instead of a bun and you are suppose to put your meat on a dinner roll?? I m originally from Memphis and cook BBQ at home all the time, but wanted to give them a try...Next time I ll cook myself. BBQ should be sweet & smokey, not salty with a mustard sauce. Very dissappointing, but a lesson learned I guess

This has been a family favorite of ours for years - until tonight - so no more family favorite. The meat tasted like pure smoke and lighter fluid, and the sauce on it was like no other ingredient except mustard and salt. It was absolutely horrible. The stew tasted warmed over many many times. Sorry Kinfolks, but you are going to lose a lot of business this way. I give it one star for the staff being nice.

Read reviews before I went an ate there tonight. Every review was spot on. Excellent BBQ, service and price. I've ate at many BBQ restaurants and this is one of the best. Great family atmosphere.

This place used to be great has gone down hill little bit but its good bbq for cheap!!! The stew and bbq sauce is great!!

This place is amazing. Having recently moved to FWB I am always on the lookout for good ribs. Kinfolks bbq is awesome. The bbq sauce isn't your run of the mill traditional bbq sauce, instead it is spicy and tastes so good. This place is great for a causal dinner as the atmosphere is very in-formal. The service was top notch and overall is a great place for down home southern BBQ done right.

Once u walk in the first smell will stay with u forever. That smokey brisket meat and hardy smell is way better than Sonneys. Brisket is the best and we do not even go to sonneys or east river anymore they are like 3 compared to this 10. Do not judge them by their cover and i think they are closed on the weekends?

Good Food, Good Prices, Friendly Staff. My family of 3 (2adults 1child) got full for $16. Only thing keeping it from and excellent rating was a soggy bun on my sandwich, other than that, no complaints. Will visit again for sure.
