"Going a long way with a child".

My family spent my youngest son's birthday in Destin (my son told everyone he was going to destiny for his birthday) July 14th. We decided after a long tiring day at the waterpark we would go to the Golden Corral for dinner. My older son(12) told the waitress that it was his brother's birthday and asked if they could sing Happy Birthday to him? The waitress told my son that they could not. I asked the manager if that was a problem, he told me, they didn't do that anymore because they don't have time (approx. 8:45PM, not many customers were in the restaurant), and that it upsets the other guests. When have you ever been upset in a restaurant due to hearing the birthday song? So I asked for a candle to put in a piece of cake myself, he gave me a PINK one. A little with an eight(8) year old child means a lot.To top that off the children had to call the waitress over for refills and to remove the used plates. A truly unwanted experience on my 8 year old son birthday.
