My family said that we were defintely going back to Landry's this year and we did! My husband had the stuffed sole it was delicious, both of my kids couldn't wait to bite into their cheeseburgers and fried onion strings, I had the fried jumbo shrimp! I had a coupon for a free appetizer of the day which was ffried alligator...everyone enjoyed the dinner! We will be back again next year! ---Champaign, Illinois

Checked this place out on a Sunday night. As soon as we walked in, I was wondering if there had been a mandatory evacuation announcement that I had missed. The honest politicians in Washington outnumbered the patrons in this joint. That should have been a clue as to what I was about to experience. Prices were a bit on the high side for me. My toddlers corn dog was $7. I had the catfish and my wife the goldburger. We didn’t get out of there for less than $40. For the price, the food was very average, no dinner rolls or anything of that nature to munch on before your main course arrived. Service was good but not good enough to overcome the other short comings. Rank Landry’s as a place to go only if most others are closed.

Just ate at Landry's AGAIN on June 23 and June 24, 2009. The food has always been the best in Destin. I laugh when I see other touristy restaurants packed for mediocre food. Landry's food is absolutely delicious in a superb atmosphere. My ten year old loves the baked salmon. A 10 year old! They use the freshest ingredients for their food and drinks, hint: try either the pina colada or the hurricane. It's worth the wait to eat there. I tend to eat at no other restaurant, why?

What a bad experience

My husband and I visited Landrys Restaurant and the customer service was very awful. The food was very expensive. It took us 1 hour and 30 minutes just to receive our food. This is not a good place to bring small children because they will get frustrated because of the long wait. I suggest no one going here if they are really hungry. The waiter seemed very confused and the food was okay but not for those high prices.

Great experience

Not mandatory suit and tie fancy but still a fine dining experience. My husband and I were totally impressed. The food was excellent and the service was as well. And, the price wasn't too steep, all things considered. I look forward to going back.

This was one of our favorite restaurants on our vacation to FL, and we'll definitely be eating here again! The service was outstanding.Our waiter was very friendly, and knowledgeable. From the time we ordered until the time our food arrived was maybe a half hour. The food was fantastic. This place has a much wider menu selection than our other horrible dining experience, which as at the Black Pearl Restaurant. The prices are a tad high, but definitely worth it for the quality of service and delicious food. I can't wait to eat here again!

Want to dress up a bit and go out?

This is the perfect seafood choice for you. The entrees are a bit more developed, yet excellent in portion. A good wine list and the decor and table presentation are a step up from the usual beach area style. As you might expect, with these amenities the prices are a bit higher. Service is excellent by a well dressed, attentive wait staff. I recommend the Stuffed Flounder. All the choices on the Mariner's Platter were excellent as well. The dessert menu was ooo-la-la ( Bananas Foster is a speciality.) Many families were dining there, casually dressed---but it would be an excellent choice for a romantic evening out if you want to dress up a bit. Will definitely be going back to visit when in the Destin/Ft. Walton Beach area.
