Jerry's Cajun Cafe
A Pensacola tradition since 1993, this restaurant offers an extensive menu of authentic Cajun and Creole cuisine served in a casual New Orleans style atmosphere. Full catering services are also available. They are open Monday through Saturday for lunch and dinner; closed on Sundays.
I ate at Jerry's several years ago & it was good. I went for lunch last week and it was a very big disapointment. The crawfish pies were frozen & not made in house. And the boudin balls were not very good. What surprized me is that they served both of these things with plain ketchup. I had to ask for roumalade sauce. The cole slaw was good but all & all the $20 I laid down for lunch was NOT worth it. I visit New Orleans frequently and the only thing about this place that reminded me of it was the music. I will not go back or recommend it to anyone.
Wow. the food is absolutly amazing. I have eaten in LA and I must say this place brought back fond memories. The owner was in walking around shaking hands and talking with customers. I am making this place a regular spot.
We have been struggling to find good authentic cajun food for years and were referred to Jerry's. We were so excited when the food arrived. It looked, smelled, and then tasted like real cajun food. It had a superb flavor! The service was great. We will definately be back!
I ate there once. Really didn't care for it. I've eaten at real cajun places in Lousiana and this is no where close. Plus Jerry doesn't seem to think people need to eat on Sundays. He doesn't open on Sundays at all.
The food is good cajun food. It is not New Orleans hot but, just right for the area. The portions are big and flavorful. The price is slightly above average. The atmosphere is nice and the decoration is all Lousianna. Friendly and helpful staff. If you like cajun food, Jerry's is the place to go.
We went their for dinner but found it is a good lunch place. I had the fresh jambalaya and a great dip for the appetizer. The catfish was an average main course. However, the French fried sweet potatoes are fantastic. Finally, the wait staff is all cute college girls, and the blond beer and girls are great. This is either a lunch stop or a drinking hole not a dinner place!
