Buster's Oyster Bar & Grill, Destin

If I could give 0 stars, I would!!!! This place was TERRIBLE!!!!! It s extremely overpriced and over rated... A few people in my party order the Cat fish plate, it was $9 and some change, the food came out in a little red basket with 1 piece of fish, a handful (literally) of fries and a side of coleslaw in one of those little plastic cups you put sauce in for to-go orders! I ordered chicken fingers and my jaws are still sore from the over cooked, extra breaded strips! My mom ordered a chicken caeser salad and they didnt tell us that they would be charging her for the lettuce and chicken seperately!!! She had all of 4 skinny strips on top of the lettuce and they charged her $6.00 for just the chicken!!! On top of all this... Our waitress SUCKED!!! She seemed very confused about everything we wanted to order. When she finally got it right, after bring us the order, she checked on us but we never saw her again until my aunt had to get up and go find her! We never even got a refill!!! I could go on and on about how disappointed I was but all in all... Gross food (my cousin s stomach was hurting for the remainder of the night after eating here), terrible service, overpriced and over rated!!! I feel like Busters is living off old reputation. Everyone keeps talking about how good they were in the 80 s and 90 s but today in 2012, they suck! Don t waste your time or money!!!

Lou and his crew catered a rehearsal dinner for us at our location. I couldn't have asked for better service and food. It was raining but this didn't stop them from making it a wonderful night. They had a small area to work in due to the rain and they made it work. Everytime I talked to Lou he always made me feel at ease about everything. We are not from the Seaside/Destin area so working things out long distance wasn't easy. Lou and his crew handled everything from the beginning to the end. Danielle and the other guys there constantly made sure everybody and everything was taken care of. Thank you Lou, Danielle and the other guys. See you Labor Day Weekend!

We were there on 5/29/2011 at 12:00PM. We ordered two gumbos,Big salad with blackened grouper, and appetizer. We served the gumbo first and the waiter left. About a hour later he brings the other. The cheese popper came out cold. The service was not prepared for the Holiday. The gumbo was so thick(paste). It was a terrible choice of places to take my Son and Daughter.We finally got the bill at 1:18PM. The poppers we refused(dry) and the salad we took to go. What a mistake

Part of our family tradition for years...every time we are in town. Very kid friendly and fried grouper fingers and smoked tuna dip are my favorites! You can't beat the price of oysters at their oyster mania.

Once among my favorites, my most recent visit was awful! It took an hour to get served and although the waitress claimed it was because they were so busy, the place wasn't half full. My favorite gumbo in Destin was so thick I could eat it with a fork and my wife's shrimp, usually light and crispy, was heavily breaded. I will now have to think twice about returning and this was a place I never missed on each trip to the coast.

If a bowling alley had a restaurant this would be it.

First time we went was in 1995. Good seafood, great place to take family. Easy to go orders when you want to stay in.

Busters oyster special is AWESOME!!!!! a platter full of oysters, big screen tvs all around and cold beer, what more can you ask for... oh yeah, fried pickle chips too....
