Calypso, Panama City Beach

My family went to this restaurant for dinner.The sign out front said kids eat free.We found out after we ate THEY DONT. I ordered red beans and rice.The beans were not cooked they were hard.My wife had gumbo couldnt eat the stuff.Would not go back .Do not recommend this place.GO TO SPINNIKERS they take good care of you and have excellant food and great service.Ps.The burgers are great!If you are a local user you probally work there the rest of the comments cant be wrong.

Tried it a few times,they are so unorganized that I couldn't believe they are still in buisness.Ordered a mr ribeye took almost 40 minutes to get it.they are so sorry they didn't even have a steak knife to give me. I swear this is no lie! I will never be back.don't fall into a big tourist trap!

By far one of our favorite places to eat. Try the pickle chips for sure. I have noticed a little less effort there in the off season but that is to be expected everywhere down there. I will be back again and again. Another note is they sell very good quality t-shirts that will last a long time.

Hit or miss. Worth trying once and finding out for yourself. I've had some well proportioned and tasty fried crawfish tails here, or large grilled fish filet....and then I've had some meals that left me wondering if I ordered off the kids menu. Regardless, most of the menu item are obviously frozen in bags, then fried up and plated. That's the way most restaurants operate in PCB, but some are better at hiding it than others. Great looking Sports Bar/Restaurant interior with a friendly staff. It's the kitchen staff I wonder about. Consistency = Customers & Cash. I'll go back, but in no real rush.

We stayed here last year and it was great. Just a few minor problems, the air conditioning was loud and did not work well, a hose came off on the washer and water ran out in the floor. This year we stayed in the same condo and the air conditioning was still loud and did not work well, the dryer was loud, the ice maker did not work, and the air conditioning filter was very dirty, the carpet was dirty. One of the pools was closed down four days for cleaning. It took two days for maintenance to change the filter and fix the ice maker. There is much room for improvement in maintenance. Will probably not return.

We live in the Panama City area and we love Calypso Beach. We always have a great meal and service is A+ too. We love the Bech Balls and the Muffalatta Sandwich.

Food was bad. French fries and fried shrimp were soggy and appeared to have been microwaved instead of prepared to order. Neither one of my kids would eat it. There are so many other wonderful choices on PCB so don't waste your time or money going here. (Instead, try Hammerhead Freds, food was EXCELLENT.)

Best place on the beach to watch sports. 6 Huge TVs in the bar area, smaller TVs throughout. Good bar food, fair prices.
