My husband and I discovered this place a few years ago while on a short getaway to PCB for our anniversary. We loved it, the food was excellent, the service great which made our experience ever more enjoyable. Whenever we get the chance we make a habit of returning.
The prime rib melts in your mouth and the cheesecake was the best, so save room or get it to go for a midnight snack like we did.
The food was great, the service was crappy and the bill was outrageous. We had a groupof 9 and since the server knew he was getting a nice tip he didnt even try. He dropped our silverware on the floor and never brought more. For me, my husband, and our two kids we spent close to 80 bucks with a tip of 11 dollars for us. so if you arent big on customer service then you will get a great meal.
Horribe experance. Sitting at the bar waiting on our table the manger walks up and tell me I can just stay at the bar shes not giving us a table. If I am going to spend 100 or more dollars I will sit where I like. We were going to book our wedding receptions of 400 until that happened. Terrible customer service and worst of all it was the manager!
Boar's Head is a great restaurant. It has a pretty romantic atmosphere and was an enjoyable experience. The best thing I think they offer is a early bird special through 6pm and it cost $13.99 and you have a few different choices in what you can get for that. You get a good portion of food and in my opinion the early bird special I had sounded better than anything on the regular menu. If you don't plan on eating one of the specials, be prepared to dish out at least $17-20+ per plate. The night we went they also had a room a jazz singer was performing. You will not regret eating here!
Great prime rib: Their blakened Prime Rib is the best cut of meat I have ever eaten. I lived in Texas for a few years and never had one this good. Just incredible. The bar tender also made me a black and tan that was perfect. Atmosphere was very nice. I didn't care for our waitress' attitude, but she did her job well enough. Otherwise, just can't say enough good things about this place. My wife had two top shelf drinks, I had a black and tan, we split a Lord's Prime Rib(plenty for two), which came with a salad and garlic mashed potatoes, she ordered a side salad, we split a piece of chocolate cake. Total price: $67
romantic, classic, delicious, expensive. this place is definitely impressive. not many rivale this one, locally. the service and food are also accompanied by a romantic atmosphere and a spectacular tavern with top shelf drinks. you should go there.
We really enjoyed our experience with the Boar's Head Restaurant. While patrons need to expect a higher priced dinner, the service, atmosphere and overall experience is worth it. From the smooth live guitar and singing done to the elegance of the room where we dined was just awesome. We all had steak and it was done right. Our family of 4 loved the experience at this restaurant while on vacation at PCB last year and won't hesitate to go back when we arrive back in the next couple of weeks! Looking for a nice romantic place with lower lights, soft music, memorable experience, and nice food? This is the place!
The only thing good about our experience was there was not a wait to be seated. We had to wait a good while before we were brought our drinks, which mine was wrong. When ordering I requested steak, salad, potato. They did not offer the dressing I requested and did not have any alternatives that were within my diet. Our salads were wilted and old. We were told there was a large party who ate all the bread so he wasn't sure we would have bread with our meal. When he finally brought our food my husband's seafood was old and looked as though it had been sitting out for awhile. My steak had a large blob of melted butter in the middle which we had told the waiter I couldn't eat butter. My potato was dried out. We finally did get the bread. I dined on potato and bread, my husband ate as much of the seafood combo as he could. We paid over $50.00 for such a bad experience. Everyone we have asked if they had eaten at the Boar's Head said yes and the food and service were awful. We agree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
