Been to Boarshead Restaurant probably 6 or 7 times. EVERY time food was great. We all love the crab cakes, Alaskan KING crab legs, and my daughter always orders the pheasant.
Last spring my sister and I took our grandsons (8 years old) to PCB for an early vacation. The two of us still wanted to go to Boarshead. At that visit, we definitely both felt that the service was not nearly as good as usual. We assume because we were two ladies with two children - we were disappointed with that. Also it seemed like the whole dining experience that night was a little disorganized in the kitchen or something.
I definitely recommend going though. I'm going back this spring and it's definitely on our list of dining places.
Not much for ambiance. Tables are close together and there were a lot of families with young kids. Decor could use an update. Good wine list and menu. Steaks were very good and the dessert was fantastic- its worth the trip just for dessert. We'll probably go back, but no rush.
My wife and I went there for our first dinner as a married couple. We reserved a table for us and our family for a total of 9 people. It was the best restaurant experience of our lives. The atmosphere was very classy. The food was absolutely wonderful and mouthwatering. But the service was by far the greatest part of the whole experience. Our waiter was very hands-on and personal, and provided a very knowledgeful assistance with the wine list and food. The shrimp and steak were to die for, and my wife loved the cheesecake.
We were recommended this restaurant by the staff at our condo. (Seems like the locals always know!)Service was excellent as well as the food. After a day in the sun this is the perfect quiet place to come in enjoy a great meal. We visited many other eateries while we were there and this was by far the BEST.
The Boar's Head was the last restaurant we visited during our stay on The Beach. We sat in the tavern and enjoyed the live entertainment of two men with a guitar and piano called Two of A Kind. We were on our honeymoon and shared the most romantic dance together afer enjoying an amazing meal of steak and seafood, not to mention the Kentucky Derby Desert!!! I'll never forget.
