My family and I stayed at the Boardwalk Beach Resort (Hotel) for just 1 night. The rooms were so nasty we didn't want to sit on the beds and the bathrooms were disgusting. It was nothing like what was shown on thet web site. We asked to change rooms because we thought maybe we just got a bad room. The next room we received was the same. I talked with several people at the hotel and they all had the same complaints. It was a place I will never take my family to again. I regret spending the night in this horrible place. Next time I will look at the rooms before I pay.
We arrived at approximately 530pm for what was supposed to be a nice, romantic getaway for our anniversary. Well, after waiting to check in for about 30 minutes, imagine our surprise when we got to the room and the card would not open the door. It was 40 degrees outside, and the wind was blowing about 20 miles per hour...pretty cold. so my hubby went to the front desk to address the issue, and came back about 15 minutes later and said the maintenance guy was on his way. Then, after waiting another 15-20 minutes in the cold, we decided to just leave. We went to the front desk, and asked to book another time, and were told that was not allowed. The staff was rude and not helpful at all! He called the maintenance man, who had FINALLY gotten to our room after about 30 minutes, and so we went back to wait. Our room door was wide open, with this guy working on the lock. After about another 20 minutes or so, and having to listen to his life story about how he was the only maintenance man for the facility, he decided he had to go get more parts....all the while with the door open to the cold! We just left, frustrated, and decided to come back later. Well, when we did return, it was fixed, but we were pretty upset by this point. Nobody made us feel welcome, and the room was nasty! Not clean at all...and to think they rent this room for $240 during the summer??!! I would not pay $50.....good luck to anybody staying in the hotel...I know the condo is much nicer...will NEVER stay there again...too bad they are so rude and not appreciative of the fact they have jobs.....
My friends and I had the worst experience ever when staying at Boardwalk Hotel (Not Condo's). There were roaches everywhere. They sent maintenance up to spray our room and boy did that drive them out of every crack and crevice. Phil at the front desk did not sound shocked nor appalled by our infestation issues. He could have cared less and even said, it's that time of year. We couldn't kill them fast enough, the quicker you killed them, the more they would appear. After numerous complaints, we were moved to an ocean front room, which they had reported earlier that they did not have. Now affectionately know as the Roach Motel!!
Me and my family of 7 went the first week of June and stayed in a condo on the 22nd floor. It was awesome. The condo was beautifully decorated, and the resort had everything there. When they say located right on the gulf, they mean it. The views were spectacular, and the onsite restaurants offered flavorful dishes. We are already in the process of booking for next year's vacation, and strongly recommend this resort to anyone visiting the PCB area. Matter of fact, me and my family are still feeling homesick for PCB and the Boardwalk.
Stayed at this motel last november i have never seen so many HUGE ROACHES all over the place!!!! I showed the front desk guy and said we wanted a new room (he didnt care the least bit he just said ok) moved rooms still roaches all over very disgusting hotel wrote the company an email never heard back they are rediculous!!
The veiw was beautiful but the rooms are nasty. We had trouble from the start. The front desk didn't tell us where our room was located it took an hour to find out what section we we're in and then our door wouldn't unlock, it took four times of calling the front desk before they finally moved us to another room. The bathrooms are so small that you can hardly turn around and the workers are unfriendly. We will definitely come back to Panama but will never stay here again. It's better to pay more than save a few bucks and that's just what we will do.
Went here on spring break 2007 and stayed in the room with 3 other guys. Room service never cleaned our room or sheets once and we stayed almost a week. It was cheap for spring break but if I went back I think I would definitely pay a little more money to stay somewhere nicer.
