We ate there night before last. I certainly enjoyed the flavored unsweet tea. I also had the Lobster Relleno. It was quite tasty but on the spicy side. They also had many unique appetizers to choose from and we had a gorganzola dish. The gumbo was also standard good faire. We had the key lime pie. It was good. It is covered in dark chocolate which was a surprise. For two adults and a child (no alcohol but a dessert and appetizer) it was around $70.00 before the tip. The best part was the music.
Found this restaurant by accident. Checked the menu posted outside and heard nice, not too loud, music coming from inside. We decided to try it.
The cocktails were very good and the wine selection was good. Prices for both were very reasonable.
My husband had the large cheeseburger with fries. The burger was as good as he has had anywhere and he would know. I had the square grouper sandwich with sweet potato fries which were also very good. The portions were generous, we each had a little of the sandwich roll and fries left. We were too full to try anything else.
Seating offers inside, outside, and open covered, most with a good view of the bay.
All the staff, including our waitress, Lisa, were efficient, friendly and accomodating. We will definitely eat there again.
Maybe I went on a bad day but... It is a great location and a HUGE restaurant. I went on a Sunday in May 2008 for lunch and was not impressed. The conch fritters looked really good, but they were not cooked through. The middle was gooey and raw (disgusting). The Lobster BLT was also nothing special. Just a small piece of fried lobster on two pieces of heavily buttered toast with lettuce, tomato, peppers and bacon. It really had no taste except for the overpowering peppers. The bacon on the sandwich was tough as if had been microwaved. Sorry but it was just a bad experience.
I went here three times over my 4 day weekend in PCB. I recommend the tuna dip - it is truly addictive. The service is great - the seafood is wonderful. You can sit and relax and watch the boats go by. I can't wait to go back again.
