This has to be the worst food I have ever eaten in my life. It is always cold.

I work in DeFuniak Springs, and it always seems a chore to find someplace to eat, especially if you want to avoid fast food or other country-style favorites. With tea, lunch usually runs about $7.60 plus tip. There are two full food bars and a dessert bar, including a freezer with cold iced cream. Everything is fresh. They do not overfill the bar, so they keep the food hot and fresh. I like having their HOT soup on any cold day. I personally like to cut out a lot of carbs and fried foods; there are plenty of other options available to me, from lots of hot vegetables to grilled fish and chicken-kabobs. All employees check on the bar, and if something is low, they will have someone top it off immediately. There is always calming Chinese music playing in the background, and I find this restaurant a calming oasis in an otherwise hectic and chaotic day. The employees are usually quiet and very helpful. If you do start a conversation with one of them, they are pleasant and very friendly. Your drink seldom goes empty; by the time my drink is half-empty, someone has come along to refill it. The restaurant and bathroom are always very clean, and the employees are very professional in appearance and behavior. They take their jobs very seriously. I have also noticed that employees try to remember small details from one visit to the next. One young lady always remembers to drop me off a pair of chopsticks, since she noticed that I like to use them. They will all remember your favorite drink and treat you like a friend. I can almost always strike a conversation with one of the other visitors. What can I say? DeFuniak Springs is a very friendly town. Whether you eat there regularly, or stop in once in a while, it is well-worth your visit.

I probably could write a book on chinese food. I eat their at least twice a week. the only thing that concerns me is that when u order the beef & broccoli to go it has a funny taste to it. not to complain but it doesn't taste the same as the beef & broccoli on the buffet. I don't know why that is but anytime I have ever had a prob with anything they have always corrected it or refunded my money.

Great, how else can I describe them!
By Ian, 7/4/07
The food selection is superb and is kept well stocked, if a food item does run out your find it’s only for a very short while, everything is always clean and I can not complain at the customer service, if anything the customer service might be a little bit over bearing but they are doing it for a good reason, your glass will never go empty. There is a desert selection for the sweeter tooth If you have a larger party they will move the tables around to cater for you, I would think it would be a great place for a business lunch or dinner for a group. The restaurant is a bright airy place which promotes friendliness, several times I have engaged in conversations with fellow patrons which is not common in restaurants unless you know each other. JB’s is not the cheapest in town, but you have a larger selection in the buffet so the choice is yours. I’m not sure of the opening times but unless it is quite late in the evening they always seem to be open, perhaps I just like to eat Chinese food at the same time there open? If you’re allergic to shell fish, ask about the unmarked dishes on the buffet or some of the dishes may be miss labeled, this is not a complaint, I happen to enjoy trying foods I don’t have a clue what they are but my wife is extremely allergic. So better safe than sorry Ian (The Mad Brit)
