Saltwater Grill - Panama City, Panama City Beach

Went here on Valentine's Day. Great service, good wine, and food was great. Menu has something for everyone with good portion size.

I am a restaurant owner here on the beach. Wer are closed on Sundays so we can spend time with family and friends, and Saltwater Grill is one of our favorite places to eat. The grouper is fantastic! The service is very friendly too and we are so glad they do not close for the season liek alot of restaurants on the beach do.

This is the best place to eat. Elegant yet casual. Wonderful food, great staff. The earlybird specials are perfect!

My first visit was a disappointment. In all fairness to the staff, they did make it right on the bill. I stayed away for the better part of a year and tried it again. WoW, I shouldn;t have stayed away so long. Early bird specials are reasonable and delicious. A few more good trips and I'll up it to 5 stars!

Valet parking on the weekend, love having music and drinks first. The food is very good and a nice atmosphere. Probably one of the best places in Bay County.

This was highly recommended to us from several people and I would agree with them. It has a very nice, classy but casual atmosphere, the aquarium was fun and the food and staff were excellent. We began with the Firecracker Shrimp appetizer. It was very good. The bread was not my favorite but this would be just a preference thing. (It was a chewy bread with a tough crust). I had the filet mignon (not a big fish eater) and while the flavor was very good and it was not overcooked, it seemed a little tough for a filet, but the garlic mashed potatoes were very good and the steamed vegies were fine, they were afterall, steamed vegies. However, my daughter loved her sirloin steak. My husband got the fried jumbo shrimp which he loved. I'm hard to please when it comes to any seafood because I'm not crazy about it. But this was possibly the best I've ever had. The breading was crunchy without being too heavy and the shrimp was cooked just right. In hindsite I wished I would have ordered the shrimp. I would definately go back again and would recommend it to others. Yes, the tab was more than we paid at other places, but the quality, taste, service and atmosphere was worth it. I don't mind paying more for better. Hope you try it and enjoy it as much as our family did.

Went on a whim to have an evening meal and was blown away with the food. Our wait was long...very long...longer than the 45 mins we were told. I was ready to NOT be satisifed when I was finally seated, but then found the nicest, most helpful waiter and waitresses (they all helped each other) that I've found at the beach. They were attentive, kept our drinks full and were quick with the orders, appetizers and were friendly as can be. I chose the special, a blackened grouper on a bed of garlic mashed potatoes and covered with a sauce of baby shrimp, scallops and peppers -- Delicious! Wifey had her usual, like at most seafood restaurants - crabcakes. They were wonderfully crisp and flaky on the inside like she likes, with a great sauce. The munchkin had some fried shrimp that was much more than just a kid's meal - they were just like the ones on the adult's plates around us, just a small portion. They were not greasy at all. LIke I said, I was ready to give them bad marks after a long wait, but was pleasantly surprised with the food and atmosphere once things got going. I'll be back at my next visit this June!

Salt Water Grille is a great restaurant. It has a romantic atmosphere and was an enjoyable experience. The aquarium is just awesome! They offer an early bird special. You will not regret eating here! We have never missed a dining experience at the Salt Water Grille in the past three years that we winter in Panama City Beach.
