Osaka Japanese Steak House, Tallahassee

I went here for a friend s birthday, and so we basically had an entire room to ourselves. It was really fun! I got shrimp hibachi and everything was cooked just right! I loved the flavors they used, nothing was too salty. Good thing I like leftovers, because I ended up having to get a to-go box. The chef guy was funny and entertained the birthday girl and the rest of us too. Next time I come here I want to try out the sushi. Some of my friends ordered some as an appetizer and it looked great!

Osaka is one great place. The first time I ever had hibachi, I was at Benihana in Atlanta, so I'd set the bar pretty high from the start. Osaka has never been a disappointment (and I've been to "eh" hibachi places over the years). Their filet is so tender you could cut it with a spoon, even their chicken is amazingly tender and high-quality. The chefs (especially the "Elvis" guy) are fun and have a great sense of humor. I've seen some chefs that did their little performance as if it were sort of a drudgery for them, so it's nice to see chefs actually having fun with what they are doing. That's the whole point of going, right? They have a location in Destin too, and that place is just as awesome. And they also have a sushi bar. Totally amazing, fresh, beautifully prepared and presented sushi. I've been to Osaka with my fiance, for birthday parties, with other couples, and with the kids. And with my parents. Every experience has been just as cool as that first time I experienced hibachi in Atlanta.

Love it! We have been loyal customers for years. The manager Greg is such a pleasure. The food is great. We celebrate evrey occasion there. My kids love the Fish tanks, resaurant is always clean. I've been to other resturants like this one in town but none compare when you want quality and service.

best sushi place in town. Sushi places keep popping up all over town, but they are more expensive and not as good. We keep trying each place and always go back to Osaka's.

i loved the food, and it was so much fun watching them prepare it! the soups and salads are absolutely unbelievable! so delicious! i am going back as soon as possible!

Anytime we have something to celebrate we go here. Birthdays, anniversaries, holidays. Its a great atmosphere, we have always completely enjoyed our food and drinks. I've even moved from just eating the steak to adding some sushi in to our meal. Try the snow white rolls they are wonderful! Enough food to eat the next day and we like that we get fried rice and noodles, both favorites that would be hard to choose between. Lately I decided takeout is just as good, why wait for a special occassion?

Food is awesome, service is worth waiting for-can be real busy sometimes. They are adding on to make more room - another sign that people love the food!

I've been to Osaka on a number of occasions and have never been disappointed. The food is good, nothing extraordinary, but again it's Tallahassee so your choices are very limited. Service is above average, but again nothing to write home about. Basically if it were in a town with more to offer as far as restaurants are concerned I may not rate it so highly. You'd think in a town the size of Tallahassee, with state governement, and two major universities there'd be more to offer. As a Seminole I hate to say it, but Gainesville a town that has 50-60 thousand less residents than Tallahassee has FAR more to offer in the category of good places to eat, it's really not even close.

I loved the food and service but I don't particularly care to sit with strangers at the same table so we have to take at least 6 to 10 people in a party to sit with people we know. I would like to see some less exspencive meals on the menu, the cheapest kids meal was $10.95 plus drink. The ten or so times I have been all have been great and you leave laughing and full. I would strongly recomend going to this resteraunt at least once to experience the great cheff's and food. I feel certain you will make a return trip.
