Shell Oyster Bar, Tallahassee

Friendly staff, great food, FREE TEA, and great prices! I just wish they had longer hours!

A Florida cracker (read NOT fancy) restaurant, with fresh raw oysters and fresh hot (all) fried seafood. I like their bay scallops, oysters, shrimp and crab claws. No alcohol sold, but it's OK to bring your own, including a cooler to keep under your table. They provide cups, no extra charge. Come after 1, as the line is likely to be gone or at least short. Friendly folks as long as you don't order tap water! :-) Parking can be tight but available next door.

FREE TEA BUT NOT FREE TAP WATER If you want a free glass of tap water with an $8 lunch DON'T GO TO SHELLS SEAFOOD RESTAURANT....You are allowed free tea with the lunch, but the owner informed me that free tap water instead was not an option. The owner was very rude and completely unreasonable. Wanted to give us free tea, or sell us a bottled water for $1.38 or for $0.50 more you could get a soda instead of tea, but you can not substitute tap water for the free tea. We left without eating

I visit them whenever in Tally-usually more than once! Try the grouper fingers: AMAZING!!

Shell Oyster Bar has a great selection of oysters, seafood and fish! I've enjoyed the oysters for many years and keep going back. The price for a bushel of oysters is reasonable and convenient. Stop in try some of their tasty food!

Does not get any better than this, great oysters, seafood and excellent service. Love them appalachee oysters...mmmmm

This is close to both Universities. No frills, casual dining and friendly service. You can't beat the price for delicious seafood. I get the comination Fried Oysters and Shrimp in 10 minutes.
