After the glowing reviews, Patiche was a big dissapointment. Presentation of the food was very nice as was the service. But alas the food itself was a disaster. The meat dish was awful--if you can't chew it you can't eat it. The fish was what you would expect at any low end restraunt. For the sake of others I hope this was just an off night. But we won't be back.
I had the most enjoyable and relaxing lunch at Patiche. The cheese platter with candied dates, nuts and honey comb was a beautiful presentatio and deliscious. We have presented 4 times at dinner parties. The bread, the entree, the dessert were all excellent. We had the nicest waitress. We were the first lunch customers of the day and by the time we left, the place was packed. From the conversations overhead, there are regulars who know the staff really well. Would definitely go again and again and again.
This place earns a rare five in my book. The food was creative and fun. Even though everyone has had cous cous or salmon or salad, they always add something to make it special. They don't have a ton of vegetarian options, but they accomodate pretty well.
The dessert is amazing. They have some nice options, but we enjoyed the cheese plate with fresh honey comb and dates. The service was attentive and helpful but not smothering. I asked about the wines and was offered a small taste of three to choose a wine that I liked.
For two people to eat like kings, expect to drop between $70 and $100, but you it will be worth it for a romantic, relaxing, dining experience.
I had the warm meatloaf with sourdough bread and gouda cheese...It was very delicious...I didnt care for the Ginger Peach tea drink...Wasnt my fortey..but the ervice was excellent and the atmosphere was very quaint and comfortable...:)..Recommend for a quiet lunch and/or dinner...:)
