Chowder Ted's Incorporated, Jacksonville

This is the absolute best food Jacksonville has to offer. After one visit you'll be hooked for life.

Chowder Ted's is very laidback - the perfect place for Friday after work. The service is fantastic - often times you get what you need a few minutes before you think to ask for it. The food is amazingly fresh and unique (this past Friday I had blackened atlantic triple fin on a bed of asparagus pasta that was out of this world). There isn't a lot of seating, so get there early or plan to eat late. No need to dress up; much of the seating is on picnic tables (very nice wooden ones).

This is my #1 place to eat I love the food and the service my husband and I have been eating there since it opened about 11 or 12 years ago my kids even love to eat there because it's suce a relaxed atmosphere. I love the conch fritters!!!

I was in Florida visiting family and was introduced to Chowder Ted's. I loved it so much I ate there alot. Its a small restaraunt but it seems to be a popular place. Im not surprised because they have great food and great service. I definately recommend them!

The first time I ate there, I drove right past. Their only sign is on the building itself, which doesn't look like much from the outside. The interior isn't much better, but the food and service is worth the trip. The dining room only has a half dozen tables plus 4 seats at the counter but there is a screened porch out back with 4 tables. For lunch, the most popular item on the menu is the fish sandwich (fried, blackened or broiled) which is fresh and delicous. However, the chowder is excellent also, and I highly recommend it on a cool day. The service is friendly and most of the customers are regulars, so the waitresses seem to know everyone by name. Don't let that discourage you--the place is too good to leave to the locals.

I love this place! I have worked in the hotel industry and have referred many guests to this place for wonderful seafood. They have all come back thanking me. The conch fritters are the best that i've ever tasted. The catch of the day sandwich,the chowder, the service. It is like the MOAB....mother of all bombs!!! This is a must try. Jacksonville's best kept secret.

Great food, good times, excellent wait staff (especially AMY!!)......The seafood is outta this world!!!.....Casual atmosphere, a REAL find........You can't miss with this one..........I would highly recommend this restaurant
