I went there in April of 09. My food was absolutely delicious, I can't remember the name of it, but it had shrimp and scallops in it and was a type of pasta. I totally recommend it to anyone. The service was excellent, it's right on the river, very relaxing. Check it out.
I'm new to Jax. A coworker sent me a promotion the Landing's doing: BOGO (for participating restaurants) on Tuesdays! (began June 08) So we tried Benny's out b/c the Sushi place upstairs was crowded. Ordered fish & chips & 2 sweet teas. Cost $13.75 for the two of us plus tip at lunch. Altho our fish was a little darker than the other tables around us (we watched the other dishes get served to our neighboring tables), it was hot and delicious. RECOMMENDATIONS: (1) add more wait staff-our waiter took over 12 mins to get to us, and it wasn't busy. After he brought us our check, he took another 12 mins to bring it back to us (2) Hire a busser for the dirty tables that the waiters kept walking by -- its summertime & High School kids are looking for work! (3) tend to the filthy restrooms!
PLUS: View was great!
the restrooms were atrocious.
The entree was delicious and beautifully plated. The wait staff was attentive and friendly.
I just can't get past the nasty restroom. It was unfinished and barely could handle the volume of patrons. I would like to revisit, but only if this area is brought up to par with the rest of the eatery.
My Fiance' and I stopped by Benny's after trying to find another restaurant in the area for over an hour (trying to meet up with friends). We had such a pleasurable experience, it was beautiful. We had great dinner conversation in a romantic atmosphere on the water, the steaks were GREAT! The service was prompt and curteous! It was a little pricey, but well worth it for the type of service and quality that we received. Can't wait to go back!
My hubby and I went there for our anniversary, and everything about the night was awsome. It was pricey, but definately worth every penny. It's right on the river, and that view, man, i just couldnt stop looking out over the water. Our waiter was awesome, he was always checking on us, making sure we had everything we needed. It was the perfect way for us to celebrate.
