Ruth's Chris Steak House, Jacksonville

I have wanted to go to Ruth's Chris for quite some time, but never thought I could afford it. I had the pleasure of dining at this one recently and was astounded at the affordability of the menu. Yes, it's a little pricey, but not nearly what I was expecting. I was talked into getting their signature filet mignon and it was fantastic. Don't let anyone tell you that you can cut it with a fork - because you can't. But it was VERY flavorful. I look forward to going back and now that I know the prices ... I will be back.

Hands down, the creme-de-la- creme of steak houses. Morton's runs a close second, and rest assured there is no third or fourth. If its a bland seasonless steak you want try Outback. The prices, considering the caliber of restaurant this is, are fine. Want a cheap steak? Eat at Longhorns. Want a steak you'll tell you're grandkids about? Ruth's Chris is the place.

I abosolutly love this place the staff treats you like Million bucks and the food OMG is to die for!!!!!!!!!!

Me & my friends went there for dinner one time & I absolutely love the place. We got a special section reserved for us just b/c we were in the military. They attended to our every need w/out swarming us. The steak I have to say is simply superb. The waiters absolutely made us feel welcome, I've been to quiet a few very expensive restaurants & most of'em have the snobby air to them...this place welcomed us w/ open arms. I even got one of the waitresses number. So, for one of these people to say that they weren't treated right is absolutely stupid....they must've acted rude or something. Even the cooks came outside & talked to us for a little bit. Oh yeah, one more thing me & my friends are all young (I'm 22 years old), and the people at this place treated us w/ respect.

Best steak I have ever had, expensive but worth it. Geat view of the river and very attentive service.

I've been to Ruth's Chris Steak Houses across the US and I have to say, this was one of my worst experiences. The food was great, the ambiance was good too. Who wouldn't love eating right on the St. john's river? But let me tell you, the service was only so-so and the management was horrific. We had an issue with the cooking of a steak and the GM ended coming out to supposedly 'fix' the problem. Well he wasn't only unhelpful, but quite rude as well. I'll never go back to this Ruth's nor recommend it to anyone I know visiting Jacksonville!! Too bad one man can rune it for the rest of the staff.

great food and atmosphere a great place be ready to spend some money but it is well worth it

We loved it...very romantic and ideal for anniversaries and special occasions.
