MI Mexico Mexican Restaurant, New Smyrna Beach

The service was terrible and the food was bland. The restaurant was busy with all the vacationers but our server made little effort to check on our table when he passed by. We continually had to flag him down, this was due to problems with the meals, no silverware, drinks not being refilled and then when it came time for us to leave we had to flag him down to get our bill.

if you do not like this place you are crazy and like the taste of cardboard this place rules!

Only ate here five times and never was completely satisfied with the food or taste. Entrees mostly bland with way too much cheese or sause covering the food, no matter what you order. (probably to mask the bland taste underneath). The only good thing about Mi Mexico is the portions are large, but that's a bad thing when Montezuma's revenge curses you hours later.

Went there several years ago and had the chile relenos. It was made with green bell pepper not Pablano that it's supposed to be. I was verey disappointed and have not gone back. Maybe I'll try again after reading all the good reviews

This unpretentious Mexican restaurant is hugely popular with the locals. At Mi Mexico you won't find a bar to drink overpriced margaritas at, no cheesy murals on the walls, and no fake plaster peeling back to reveal fake brick. You don't go to Mi Mexico to marvel at the knick knacks, you go there to eat. Excellent food, attentive service, generous portions, and reasonable prices make this THE place to go when you simply want a great Mexican meal without all the fluff. My taste buds say stick with chicken, shrimp, or veggie based dishes as there are better places for beef. 'Course that's just me. I know many would disagree.

the mi mexico in New Smyrna beach is much better then the one in Deland. The Mi Mexico in Deland is not that hot I been there several times and it is not the same !!

This place is amazing. I love the steak soft tacos and the hubby love the quasadilla fajitas. Make sure to get the cheese dip. BTW, if anyone knows what kind of cheese they use PLEASE fill me in!

This is the best mexican food in the area by far.

Mi Mexico... is good... not the best but good for mexican food for florida...not the best... the only reason i like it because they have the white cheese dip...!!!
