DJ's Deck Seafood & Raw Bar
Enjoy fresh seafood, grilled and fried, in a casual, waterfront atmosphere in Port Orange, Florida. DJ's Deckis a family-owned-and-operated seafood restaurant under the Dunlawton Bridge, on the northeast side. We are located on our Marina about two blocks from the ocean. Our guests can enjoy lunch or dinner inside or outdoors underneath our tiki huts over looking the beautiful Intercoastal Waterway. We have seating for 300 guests and no reservations are needed.Come, sit back and relax while enjoying the river views and beautiful sunsets.
This is a great place to go eat. Their burgers were awesome, and their fish dinner is as well. We went there 3 times in one week, and each time was great. The view is breathtaking, and the service was excellent.
If you value atmosphere more than the menu this place rocks in the evening with lots of locals hanging out,but with a seafood market and the docks less than 30 ft. away, the food lacks, however the raw bar gives it the third star from me.(and smoking is allowed for all you smokers out there).
A lot of hype for what was only a good location. The hamburger was a frozen pattie that tasted like cardboard. The grouper sandwiches were small pieces of left overs from the dinner meal I guess. The fish was tasteful but didn't begin to fill the bun. The view is very nice and we liked feeding the stray cat. Service was okay, you order and pay first and they deliver your food to the picnic tables. I won't return, for the price I thought it would be a sit down restaurant not fast food.
D.J.'s deck is a piece of heaven on Earth. The view is breathtaking from the deck. Sometimes, you will even see fish jumping out of the water. The service is phenominal; the staff is pleasant and helpful. But the best part is the food. Every year when we visit Daytona, we HAVE to go to D.J's. I have been to Daytona 6 years in a row now. D.J.'s is a destination for us. This year, we ate there 4 times and right now I wish I was back there enjoying the best fish sandwich EVER. The fish is fresh, it is served HOT, and the portions are HUGE. Get the basket because the hush puppies are the best you will ever eat. They bring the food to you with choices of sauces. But you will not want to put any sauce on your fish. It tasted great just as it is served. Save the tarter sauce for the fries! You have to try to buffalo shrimp. The shrimp are large and taste amazing. I took a picture on my cell phone years ago, and downloaded it to phones since then. It is a piece of Florida that I carry with me daily and when I need a smile - I just look at my photo from D.J.s deck. The picture brings back great memories and makes my mouth water. I can't wait until I get back to Florida, and that will be our first stop! Make it yours, too.
