Saturday night at 9:30 I walked in and asked a woman if they had entrees available for take out. She asked me if I was there to get something to eat there. I said it was for take out. She walked to the cash register end of the counter and slammed 2 menus on the counter, (I was with a friend). Rather than remove my heavy purse off my shoulder, open it all up, find my glasses, and put them on to read the entire menu, I just asked her what the $7.99 sign was for in the window. She didn t like that either and told me it was a quarter chicken. I asked if it was barbque and she said yes, so I said I d get it, but could I get a breast and a leg or a thigh instead of a wing. She said a quarter chicken only has one piece, not two. So I told her that a half chicken has 4 pieces, one of each piece, so a quarter chicken has 2 pieces. She got mad, but she was mad from the very start. I was in a good mood and just trying to place an order. She was FURIOUS!! She denied me my request for mixing 2 pieces and speaking with great attention to the sound of each letter in her wording, told me it came the way it came from the kitchen and that was it. I asked if I could speak with a manager who might be able to make an exception for me and she shouted in pure anger towards me that she was it!! I said okay, remaining very calm emotionally and intellectually composed, as I was trying to get something to eat....and then asked her name, it started with a J and she wore a red shirt, is a short woman regarding height, and had dirty-blonde wavy hair. I think her name is Janice or similar. Anyway she handed me a card from near the register when I asked if there was any way I could get in touch with a manager to explain this situation because her responses to my request was not something I understood. She proceeded to tell me I was RUDE, and its funny because I hadnt been rude in the very least throughout the entire encounter. BUT, if I HAD been rude, I would have had to have been extremely rude to have risen such hatred and outright anger from her, and even then, would she deserve to have a job there in ANY position, much LESS in management?? I finalized our encounter with acceptance of the customer review card, and the comment: I m sure there has been a purpose in our meeting, although I do not yet know what that purpose is, and I believe the other one does not realize it due to lack of insight. I will be calling the phone number for Doan Management....386-248-1611 and speaking with someone there to address the situation. When I looked back at the counter after leaving the restaurant, she was in there still talking about it with her workmates, I could tell by the ugly and intense look on her face that she was probably still yelling.
