Yes, Martin s could use a good cleaning BUT ... where does one get a seafood platter (lunch) with salad/slaw, fish oysters shrimp scallops potato and hushpuppies for $7.50 with a FANTASTIC OCEAN VIEW, and $2 mixed-drink specials to boot! Martin s -- that s where! We went Father s Day and it was $10 ALL DAY for full course FRIED SHRIMP dinner -- the place was packed, top and bottom. Yes, the restaurant is OLD and has been there for years -- I know because I ve been going there for 30 years!
What horrible criticism from people who are mighty high on themselves. If you are under the impression that any restaurant is perfect you got another thing coming. Even your mom s house has severe discrepancies when it comes to food preparation and would be shut down if ever actually health inspected. All in all Martin s is what it is. It is a dive restaurant. This is not a bad thing. Have you ever seen Guy s Diners, Drive-in s, and Dives? This place fits the build. They do some things right. The lunch seafood platter is worth the 8 bucks and I highly recommend you sit at the bar on a Saturday for some interesting conversation. Plus Lupe will make you feel right at home with stellar service. Four Stars is the expectation for a dive. If you want fine dinning then pull the stick out of your butt and go eat somewhere else.
omg!! if you ever want to be treated disrespectfully and serverd substandard food with an attitude go to this nasty over prices slophouse in flager. these people don't even have a clue. after going there i tried deparately to find something good about the service or food....but NOTHING would come to mind. my advice to anyone is to NOT even try this gastronomically incorrect, narcissistically managed excuse they call a restaurant. culinary arts is not part of their vocabulary, nor is compassion. welcome to martin's
Our first visit to Martin's was superb! The prime rib was so tender we didn't even need knives. So, we decided to try it again 2 days later. A lot had changed. The steaks were so tough and the potato was not done. We mentioned it to the owner, but he just smiled and shrugged his shoulders. Maybe the cooks are different, but they need to be more consistent. If our 2nd visit had been our first visit, we would not have attempted to try it again. Such a shame!
My wife and i go to flagler beach a couple times a year, and allways eat at Martins at least once,I usually get the prime rib its the best and biggest i've ever had anywhere,we love it,i've also had the stuffed lobster shrimp, crablegs, and many other things on the menu.one of our all time favorite places to eat.
