Amici Italian Restaurant, St Augustine

Amici s is a nice little Italian Restaurant. Good food, a nice variety of dishes. The salmon dishes are excellent. Seafood is something I enjoy eating out at most restaurants, so am quite picky as to its taste - when Amici s says herb crusted they mean it!. The salmon in dill sauce is even better...abosolutely delicious. My husband s favorite is the chicken limone, I enjoy it myself too. We were recently there to celebrate a birthday with family and my stepdaughter special ordered a dish not on the menu, the chef was pleased to make it for her - she was thrilled. The desserts are delicious.

I am a hard nose on Food and service. I really liked the service and greeting at this restaurant. My wife and I have eaten here 2x now and the food was very good . I would also give the Atmosphere a B rating as it was very comfortable with a very nice outside terrace for the warmer weather. I would not hessitate to tell friends and family to eat here . I would have to rate as a 5 star due to all the criteria met here.

Some of the reviews on this site are not compimentary. Quite honestly we enjoyed the restaurant. Between the antipasto, pizza and veal marsala, my husband and I were pleased. It's not a gourmet restaurant, however would eat there again.

The worst food i ever had. Drunk waiters. Absolutely overpriced. Not recommended..

We planned our wedding from out of state, and the staff at The Milano Room at Amici Italian Restaurant was incredibly easy to work with and very helpful. Benedetta responded to EVERY email, every phone call, every message quickly and thoroughly which was so important being that we were so far away. She was very understanding of our budget and gave us plenty of options to work with in order for us to get what we want at a price we could afford. I was able to bring in all of my own decorations and set up everything just the way we wanted it. The staff was friendly, attentive and efficient on our wedding day. Guests are still talking about how great their waiters and bartenders were!! The food was hot, fresh and delicious! We loved having our reception at The Milano Room and recommend it to anyone looking for an intimate, romantic reception space. We have also eaten at Amici's on a number of occassions and the experience has always been great. Delicious food and a great atmosphere.

Horrible Valentines Date!! I had booked a reservation 2+ weeks in advance for what I thought would be a great night. We arrived at 6:50pm (10 min early) and did not receive our main course until 9:30pm and it was cold!! After the first bite, I attempted to tell our server that the food was not satisfactory and we wanted something else, however, she was so busy she could not get back to our table. My husband and I finally got up and left; I felt after the horrible service, they at least owed us 2 drinks. I don't blame our server because she was doing the best she could; the management obviously did not have adequate staffing in service or cooking which is crazy since Valentine's Day must be one of their busiest nights. I would not recommend this place to anyone and have told everyone I can to stay away from here.

Amici's restaurant St Augustine Valentine's night disaster. Be careful when booking a large party or group at this restaurant. They are very un equipped to deal with the rush of a busy night or event. They ran out of bread, salad, soup, and vegetables, the bar also ran out of gin. The service was un believably slow, they did not staff adequately for the evening. we entered at 7.30pm and got served our main course by 10.30 pm. You may say that every one can be caught off guard by the turn up of so many people, We had booked two weeks in advance) this is true, however, not one apology to anyone by the owner/manager for the long wait or lack of food available, infact her customer service left little to the imagination, her reply to disbelieve of her customers, (it is Valentines night what do you expect). Well perhaps a discount or an apology for starters, even a drink on the house? Nothing, just a remark from her, that people like us come out only to find problems, we sure did encounter them there.
