Barbara Jeans at Wards Landing, Ponte Vedra Beach

I finally had a chance to try this restaurant that I have been hearing so much about. And I was not overwhelmed by it. With the exception of the Chocolate Dessert (YUMMY!) the food was OK. I felt like I could have gotten just as good a meal or better at Cracker Barrell. And yes - it's on the water - but the outside deck wasn't impressive either. It was a better experience at Palm Valley Fish Camp which is just down the road. Unless I go back for the dessert - I won't be going back.

YOU HAVE GOT TO TRY THIS PLACE! The crab cakes are the best on the east coast and I drive alot. The service from Taryn was excellent! I also enjoyed the view of the intracoastal while sitting out on the deck. Everytime I drop off a customer I have to get something togo like the chocolate stuff. Highly recommended.

I love the food at Barbara Jeans, but I also love the setting. A restaurant where you can take small children and still eat in peace is a rare find. On the weekends, boats constantly pass by, providing endless entertainment for the kids. The kids meals are reasonably priced and offer more selection than most restaurants. The best reason to visit, however, will always be the crabcakes!
