Dixie Grill, Live Oak

The restaurant is lacking. The service is SLOW and NOT that good. They spent more time visiting with some other table than actually DOING their job. The food is okay at best. Let me say this when a 3 year old pushes the macaroni and cheese and says No Grandma (to my mom) I don t like it . The other thing was OUR food was COLD because our server was too busy on the one other table there visiting and sitting with the customers. Heck we even had to RE ask for our drinks to be filled up. We have lived here since 2005 and been to this place only 3 times. Each time it has been below average-LOUSY service. The thing is with this type of service is it any wonder why so many people are NOT repeat customers. Sadly Live Oak does not have a lot of variety. So you try a place again hoping that the lousy service was just a fluke. Unfortunately you discover it wasn t. My mother was particularly unhappy that we basically had to keep flagging our server to wait on us from her socializing and sitting with this one table. The food could probably been better IF it had been served HOT! I think the final straw for us this last visit was also that we had to ASK 3 times for our drinks that kept getting forgotten because our server just had to run over and talk with this one table that she was not even waiting on. THEN we kept trying to get her attention for our ticket so we could pay and leave since we were not that important to wait on. My mother retired from managing a Country Club and Dining Room. It galls her how bad the service is at a lot of these restaurants. We usually end up taking visiting family and friends elsewhere because they have experienced the bad service at a lot of the local restaurants and don t want a repeat.

My uncle did the best job making and running this restaurant then handed it over to mira who runs it very well.

Home made comfort food at a reasonable price. The service is fast, friendly and very personable. This is an excellent choice for lunch. Check out the Sunday lunch specials with free desert and salad bar. Dixie Grill Rocks!!:)

Food was good a little pricey and the serves was very poor, guess you have to dine there all the time and they have to know you to get good service

HMMMMMMMMMM,The Dixie Grease Pit, what can I say about this place? Not too much, Prices are rediculous, not enough variety on the menu, hang out for the wannabe snooty crowd. Clientele not too surprising after all, you'll find most people in this town fit that description. Don't care about throwing money away? Visit real soon.......

Should've went to Hardee's ....the food and service was so bad the last time I went there I didn't even taste the food I was so upset I took the food home to the dogs.
