Pompeo's Italian Restaurant, Fernandina Beach

I am surprised at the low ratings...this place is awesome! I ve lived here since 2010 and eat here usually once every two weeks. Love the buffalo mozzarella and tomatoes on Friday and Saturday nights. Try their homemade cucumber dressing on your salad, it s outstanding! I have loved every meal!

I've been here twice with family and never had a disappointing service. We ordered some salad that was tomato slices with mozzarella olive oil and such and by the time we were through there wasn't even olive oil left on the plate we dipped the bread in it it was so good! Then we found out the owner just made the mozzarella at 4pm that day so it was fresh. The portion size was a little disappointing, but it was delicious. The only bad part about this restaurant is that it's really expensive. There were only 3 of us we ordered 2 appetizers, 3 entrees, and 1 dessert and the bill was 92 dollars. Still if you want real Italian food go to Pompeos the owner is going to retire soon so get there before he does, he's from Naples Italy so he knows his Italian cooking.

We have dined at Pompeo's several times. Great location, good service, however, food was disapointing. Special entree was overpriced-$27.95 for 3 tough shrimp on a wooden skewer, 2 tablespoons of overcooked vegetables, & a very thin piece of white fish floating in butter. The entree was to be grilled medley of seafood. When we asked to could get the side of pasta in a garlic butter sauce i/o marinara (allergic to tomatoes) reply-it will cost extra for a different sauce but we can add butter. We like to support local eateries, however, this one has lost our support.

We recently visited this restaurant after hearing/reading decent reviews. The server was very pleasant and courteous but had to be reminded constantly for drink refills. Once the bill arrived my husband nearly fell over after seeing that 2 adult and 2 children

We dined in the covered outdoor patio. It was an intimate and pleasant area. The food was surprisingly good and the service was warm and personal. We'll be back!

I have eaten there twice and I am actually going back there tonight with some friends. I found the food to be excellent. The service was excellent. A little pricey but you get what you pay for.
