I have been driving to Florida to visit my daughter for over 12 years. I make it a point, after an 800 mile drive, to stop in Valdosta and eat here. The food is always good.. some dishes are unique and in any case the sauces are excellent.. I come from a city that eats alive chain Italian restaurants due to the large Italian population and hundreds of Italian restaurants of all price and style. They would do just fine in our town. The Military review is obviously a personal grudge thing that has nothing to do with the place or the food. After 12 hours on the road.. this place is an oasis that I look forward to always
I've been to Mom and Dad's of Valdosta a handful of times, yet had never had an experience as I had this night. After my date and I waited our turn to take a seat and were finally seated it was then that they told us there was no pasta and no chicken. We would have to pick something else. Now tell me, how many Italian restaurants do you know that have ever run out of pasta?? Chicken I could possibly live with, but pasta? Come on. I agreed to try the veal Parmesan, since that's what my date was having. I would say it was horrible, but I am not a veal fan anyhow and my opinion could be biased. Who cares anyway? There was just no pasta. And drink was not looked after well, at all, by the waitress. I haven't gone back since.
Really enjoyed our dining experience at Mom & Dad's. The food was great, the atmosphere had a fine dining feel, while the prices were reasonable. The wine selection was good with choice bottles from Italy & the US, many of the good bottles were less than $25. Service was great. Brandon, our server, took very good care of us & also recommended local sights to visit. The only thing to avoid is the Caesar Salad. Way too heavy on the anchovies. All in all, we had a great time & will be visiting again. A++

Went with a large group. they were able to accommodate the party very well. Received our appetizers and drinks in a timely manner. The main courses were great! Best italian meal ive ever had! Loved that there were plenty of appetizers and main courses to choose from.
Mom and Dad's has the best Italian food in town. When you visit, make sure to sit in the bar (ask for Paul). It's like being at home. Mom and Dad's is a long time favorite of many Valdosta locals. The staff and owners are outstanding! Be prepared to enjoy meeting new friends, eating great food, and interacting in fun loving conversation. It's an all out blast!
