Latitude Thirty-One, Jekyll Island

We ate dinner their, just walked in and and had excellent service and great tasting food. The people are friendly and the places was clean & neat. The best place to eat on the island.

Arrived just before sundown and could not ask for a better setting. Beautiful sunset, sparkling water, an enjoyable walk on a dock to the restaurant. Ambiance is personal, but we liked the nautical, seaside, cottage feel. We were immediately seated by a friendly accommodating hostess who allowed us to choose a table by the window overlooking the shoreline. Server was friendly, knowledgeable, and very attentive. I had the Catania Seafood Pasta (19.95), linguini pasta tossed in a homemade tomato sauce with fresh herbs, shallots and garlic. Topped with grilled Sea Scallops and Georgia Wild Shrimp. There were 6 shrimp and 6 large scallops. They were both prepared to perfection. The shrimp may be the best I have ever had! My wife had the Sea Scallops, breaded and fried. You may also have them grilled or blackened. There were 13 large scallops also prepared to perfection. With also shared a large bowl of crap bisque soup, a spinach salad (both were excellent, and the waitress even split the salad into two separate portions and provided two spoons for the soup). The salad was tossed with sliced mushrooms candied pecans and currants and warm bacon dressing topped with Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheese, two beers, our bill came to $63 including tax. So you decide if is to expensive for you, but in my experience the price is in keeping with the setting, meal quality, ambiance, and setting. In any event, keeping all of the above in mind, I doubt you will be disappointed

Wonderful dinner. Great shrimp and seafood. Easy to get to and easy to get a seat.

When we dream of eating excellent seafood, this is the place we dream of. My families favorite and a must stop everytime we visit Jekyll.

During our family vacation at Jekyll Island we choose to dine at Latitude 31 on Sept 9th, our server was Renesha and we checked out at approximately 9pm. The service that I received less than satisfactory service, first we waited close to 1 hour for a table, then close to another hour to be served after we were seated, the server refused to bring tea refills during our meal but as we were leaving she finally filled my glass half way. Another complaint; she didn't bring scalloped potatoes the meal (had to stop her and ask her to bring them). The service was poor for the entire family, as we were over charged for the steak (a 12 oz. for $32.00), and the scallops were not fully cooked. It was not a pleasant experience at all. Sheila

outside raw bar is awesome. best boiled peal and eat shrimp of ever had just awesome. hadnt seen my mother, siset and brother for about three years, was a great place to catch up eat some awesome seafood and catch up.

We arrived shortly before opening and were told we had a 20 minute wait. An hour later we were finally ushered in, a party of eleven. Split between two tables with famished children, we finally received our bread and then salads. The food was excellent. The men's restroom was dirty. Usually you give a gratuity for prompt service, good food and a clean restroom. Two out of three failed.

My wife and I vacation in the Southeast quite often and found Jekyll Island, Latitude 31 and the Rah Bar just by chance. What a great place. The food and service are wonderful and you couldn't ask for a better location. History, the beach, good food and good friends, you couldn't ask for more!
