bad day at seajays seafood
By ,
i must have been there the same time as the other poor family. poor service, bad bad food, and long wait. in all fairness the corn bread with my brunswick soup was awesome, so if you can make a meal of corn bread this is the place for you. my family sat inside and the guitar player who was in need of a good bath was a little loud. it was hard to hear anything being said at the table without yelling at one another. don't know if it was a bad day or the norm since this was our first time, but i am not going back to find out. high price, bad food, long wait, loud atmospher, good corn bread. 1 out 5 isn't enough to bring me back.

Could Be So Much Better
By ,
If a restaurant does not have good food, unfortunately it's not worth going even with a good location and atmosphere. After dining at SeaJay's three times, I've yet to have a good meal.

Great Low Country Boil
By ,
Sea Jay's is a fine waterfront restaurant adjacent to Jekyll Harbor Marina. We first stopped there a couple of years ago and remember it as having pretty decent food and fair prices. We were there again lately with some local friends and it was even better than before. The low country boil consisting of boiled shrimp, corn on the cob, potatoes, and sausage is their signature dish and it rocks. Everything is fresh and done the way that it should be to highlight these simple ingredients. The low country boil buffet also includes bread and dessert and is a good choice for the hearty eater. Their sandwiches are excellent and there are several salads for the lighter appetites. Service is usually very good but can be a bit slow on very busy nights. If you are traveling by boat on the ICW, it is a great stop for a good meal.

We make it our first stop on Jekyll
By ,
If friendly service and good food is what you're looking for, this is the place. We stop there every trip to Jekyll Island, even before we check in to our hotel! Can't get enough of SeaJay's Crab Chowder. They also have a local favorite, Low Country Boil buffet with shrimp, sausage, potatoes and corn, even Banana Pudding for dessert. We like to sit outside and take in the sunset with a cold cocktail. They have a local singer, Ed Pickett, he's been there for years. It just gets our vacation off to a good start. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

We can't wait to go back:-)
By ,
My husband and I always eat at SeaJays while in Jekyll Island. In March we were there for 3 days and ate 5 meals at Seajays. It is very rustic but you cant beat the views of the marshes and Marina. Meal are good basic GA staples with a good variety for lunch and dinner. Daily specials and the low country boil are always great. Very friendly service. Except for breakfast it is the only place we eat out while on Jekyll
