Mullet Bay Restaurant, St Simons Island

Our family ate there last weekend. We always go when we are on the Island. My daughter and I ate there in April and the food and service were excellant. We went back while the whole family was on the Island and I am sorry to say I don't care if I go back again. My daughter and I shared a meal in April and they have taken 1 of the crab cakes off the meal we got so had to pay extra for a crab cake. The waitress was nice but all the food was way over done. We usually eat leftovers but we threw them in the trash. I only ate one bite of my crab cake. It was nasty. Doubt I will be going back.

OK. This was my frist time eating there and the service was. godd. Naturally being a Sunday night, there was next to no one in the restaurant. The food was moderately priced. Though my date was a little mild tempered that night, it was still good.... I watched the Giants-Eagles game. The service could have been just a tad nit better... The server was nice and only came when asked., so that was a plus. The food was great!!!!!!!! I have worked for Spanky's since fiscal 2003 and i have officially found a better tasting burger. The chicken and pasta was more than enough for my date as she took almost a full box home.. overall the stay was good andI intend to go back in the future.

The food was pretty good! The staff was so/so, they could hire friendlier, more professional people to work there! 4-stars for food, 2-stars for staff!

Went here with another family and kids. The food was great..especially the deviled crabs and the wings. The waitress was equally bad. She slammed dishes down on our table without saying a word. We complained to the manager and got a standard sorry phrase. Would definitely not visit again.

Wife and I had ate there in late October 08. We had the fried oysters. They were not as good as you might find in a fast food place like Capt D's. And, they charged $18 for them each! the service was so so. The waitress was not busy but we never saw her until we needed a check. I definitely would not eat there again.

The food is great here. The service if great. A super casual restaurant. Eat indoors or on the covered porch. The Cobb Salad is huge. Our experience is that the food is great at lunch or dinner, but the best deal is for lunch. You get a large enough portion at lunch for 1/2 the price!!!!!

Service was great and the bartender serves a great drink. They have frozen drinks to die for and the bartender pours a generous whiskey on the rocks. Food was a good value and there were NO KIDS. What a great experience. We eat here at least 3 times when we visit the island.

The variety of foods was great. Something for anyone in your party. Prices were very reasonable and food was outstanding. We met friends at the restaurant and had a wonderful meal with them.
