great food but it's kind of a hole in the wall place. i've never had an english-speaking waiter in the 10 or so years i've been going there. i'd just as soon go to Pablo's where i can talk to the waiter/waitress.
The place is a little run down, the food is ok, the staff is friendly. They have a buffet at lunch, but it's kind of simple. Mostly chicken dishes and some veggies and tortilla stuff. Drinks are cheap and they have a good happy hour. Pretty much the best mexican food in town, not that it means anything for Brunswick. Very casual.
Visited on 8/13 with a girlfriend for the lunch buffet. We watched a roach crawl across the buffet towards the sour cream; right in front of our eyes!! We called the waiter over to see the situation for himself.
Things that make you go hmmmm.......
We WON'T be returning again.
i'm rating this excellent only because we have to consider my unique situation...out of my natural mexican element, with a desire for food from home. The staff, the menu, the music were great. I really would have liked homemade tortillas.
The beans and salsa were great. If you're Mexican, and find yourself in Brunswick, this is the closest you'll come to satiating your yearning.
