Frederica House Restaurant, St Simons Island

We have a condo on St. Simons and have been eating at Frederica House for many, many years. We know that you're better off to stay with the tried and true . . .fried shrimp . . . and you won't be disappointed. I've heard the specials & other items can be pretty bad but we've honestly never had a bad meal. Why? Because we only order fried shrimp!

We eat at Frederica House everytime we go to the Island, this is the 2nd time I have eaten there this year. The food is out of this world!!!!! The service is excellant and the owners are friendly. They are there to make your evening memorable. I haven't had a bad meal in all the years we have been going there!! The crab stew is delicious!!!!! Our family can't wait to go back.

Shrimp was fresh and lightly breaded. Service was excellent, staff worked as team and kept everything clicking.

Great service and very good food; excellent bar choices. I'd definitely recommend this to folks visiting St. Simons. The seafood combo platter was all fresh and expertly prepared.

TERRIBLE!! Food was cold, overcooked and service slow. How in the world do you mess up a piece of fish?? The drinks were good. good thing since the dink garnishes were the only thing worth eating. Never again and we are Islanders!

Every time we go to St. Simon's Island we eat at the Frederica House. I love the fried oysters but everything is great. Very Friendly staff. We'll always go back.

My wife & I have sat at the same table at the same time each 8/8 to celebrate our anniversary. # 41 is coming up shortly & we will be there. The blackened salmon is excellent, the steaks are tender & the sauteed mushrooms are to die for. The entire menu is attractively priced. This will be our 19th celebration at the Frederica House and to be greeted for all these years by Tom, John, Rich or Steve is like coming home.The entire staff moves like a well-oiled machine. This unique restaurant is our all-time favorite.

Awful. Shrimp was overcooked. Hush puppies dry. Dessert a bust. Cheese grits bland. Service was good though

Just not what it used to be. Food was cold and dry.
