Crab Trap, St Simons Island

sad to say the food at the crab trap has gone downhill in the years they have been open. they don't change out their frying grease so all their freid seafood has a burnt taste their oysters were good and their shrimp dip was too but it took took too long to get a drink and it was just overrated. so we've been a couple of years but we won't go there anymore we'll go to crabdaddys.

ever eat a crab any better than this-let me know!

Great food. We always go there when we are in town.

The food is delicious and the atmosphere is wonderful! My family goes to St. Simons once or twice a year and each time we eat at the Crap Trap at least three times! It's a real family tradition!

The fried shrimp had little or no batter on them, and they did not have a good flavor. The shrimp dip was very good.

i loved the Mahi Mahi blackend and cajun style shimp it was out of this world. My dad said that they went there a couple years ago and said the resturant wasn't that good, but he enjoyed it this last time. We hope to go back this next time.

My wife and I dine here after seeing it listed here on tripadvisor. I ordered the fried shrimp which came lightly battered (along with battered fries). Shrimp was fresh and delicious. My wife ordered the Crab Legs that were on speical, she was not as impressed. Felt that the Crab Legs were not seasoned very well, just boiled. Selection of fish was slim (as in only one choice, Mahi Mahi) Would return again just for the Shrimp.
