I have been told by numerous people to go here and eat and finally had an opportunity to eat there on 5/26. It is a good restaurant but not great.
Atmosphere- very energetic-slightly noisy, but not so loud that you can't talk to your guests.
Food- we ordered an array of food for the five of us giving us a good sample. Excellent dishes were the thai calamari appitizer and the pork dinner.(spot on nothing wrong with the dishes) very good dishes were the crab cakes, the lobster mack and cheese, beef carpacio, and beet carpacio salad,(mac and cheese was excellent but the lobster had some grit, some beef for the carpacio was chewy) average dishes were the filet and caesar salad.(filet was cooked properly but was unimaginative and very expensive, while the caesar had a better menu tang to the dressing than what was served)
Service- average. Our experience was slightly less that what was expected. Especially when compared to service of other diners. 1. our salad and carpacio was not offered fresh ground pepper as other tables were. 2. any fine dining establishement should offer you new silverware when silverware has been cleared. 3. Bill- the bill should always be accurate, I caught the filet dinner on the bill twice, always a nice was to pad the bill by $32 but shouldn't happen. 4. served the wrong food. My wife had ordered the beet carpacio salad was served another dish.
overall a very good dinner, but some polishing is needed to make for a better overall experience.
Definitely one of the best dining locations in Brunswick. Food is good but up there. Drinks are the same. Staff is good, but menu variety is low. The place is small, so make reservations on weekends. Don't go there if you are on a budget..
I tried this restaurant with a group, because of high recomendations of a coworker. The lamb was excellent, the sea bass was presented well but not worth recommending, one mixed drink was great and the other not very good. Only those who ate the crab cakes got ill - could be coincidence. The staff and chef were welcoming and very attentive.
