Description

This family-friendly joint is the oldest seafood restaurant on Tybee Island, and one of the favorites among locals and visitors alike. Casual and fun, loyal patrons arrive in Sunday duds, beach clothes or even less. A full range of seafood specialties is available, but the clear house favorite is the beer-battered shrimp. Get your oysters on the half shell raw or steamed, and do not neglect to check out the weekly specials. A full bar is on hand for the adults, and a kids menu provides perfect portions for the little ones.

Worth the trip

The boiled shrimp was out of site when we ate here in 2001. Pretty spicy though. I had a second round of shrimp and skipped dinner. They were kind of too spicy for my wife but she enjoyed the restaurant. A nice restaurant for such a dumpy beach area. I would visit the island again just for the restaurant, and in fact am going to do so this summer.

Good place to eat

We ate there after passing it. The interior isn't that great, but my food was good. I had crab, corn and hushpuppies- which were so good. My mom had oysters and said they were not that great. If you are going get the regular dinner. We got the light (which meant less food and less expensive) and it would have not been enough if I hadn't had a big lunch. Overall, I would go back again.

Had a fantastic meal and experience last year and I'm making plans to go back again this year. GREAT FOOD!

The Best of the Best

Easly the best restraunt on Tybee for any occasion. The food, service, location, selection, and everything else are absolutely brilliant!
