Historical Crystal Beer Parlor, Savannah

We had heard that the Crystal Beep Parlor had reopened and tried it out for lunch yesterday, Nov. 7th and so glad we did. The service was excellent, Their famous oyster sandwich was as good as I'd remembered. Two of the girls got hamburgers and said they were excellent. One on the girls got chicken fingers and was equally delighted with her choice. As a young boy, I'd remembered going there with my Dad for my first bought hamburger. Don't remember much about hamburger at the time, but that first day going to the Crystal Beer Parlor will always be a day to remember. Since then, my wife and I and my kids have been serveral times. The new remodling has opened the place up while maintaining the atmosphere of the 1930's. They've even located the old pot belly stove at an antique dealer, which used to stand in the corner, which I'd remembered as a kid. I give the new remodeling and the staff thumbs up. We will go back.

My family and I eat at he Old Crystal at least once every two weeks and have enjoyed every minute of it. The food is great and the service is very good- the servers stop by to check on our table and even the owner takes time to talk to with the children. Sounds like you were there on a civic center night which can get pretty hectic when everyone wants to eat and leave in an hour. WE highly recommend the Crystal beer parlor to EVERYONE!! There is no place in Savannah like it!

We were just out walking around and stopped in here for a drink. Nice place and an excellent choice of all kinds of beers. Intended to go back for a lunch but didn`t get a chance. It is definitely on our list for the next time we visit.

Fantastic! I had such a good time there this past weekend. The food and the service were very good. Much better than years past and I liked it then! The changes to the place have really opened it up and the seating is so much better. Glad to see an old dog can learn some no tricks! :-)

Crystal Beer Parlor - What a delicious, mouth-watering surprise. The Burgers here are by far the best I've ever eaten. The atmosphere is wonderful for groups and great conversation. I went when I lived in Savannah and NEVER, EVER fail to go there when I'm visiting. I would recommend the Crystal Beer Parlor to ALL OF MY FRIENDS WHO VISIT SAVANNAH! Hope to see all of you soon.

lunch or dinner it is the best downtown has to offer--- the southside cant beat it either.
