Vinnie Van Go Go's
Year after year, the New York style pizza at Vinnie Van Go Go's is voted best in Savannah. Offered whole or by the slice, the pizza here has a crisp, flavorful crust and can be piled high with your choice of fresh toppings. Indoor seating includes a few small tables and a counter with tall stools, but the best place to sit is outside on the patio. Even in colder weather, space heaters warm the outsides of patrons, while pizza warms the insides. Beer and wine available. Cash only.
Absolutely the best pizza I have eaten...Excellent crust and very good sauce..In the city market area of downtown Savannah.Bought a large pizza, very big and was only 12 bucks....Alot of the locals and collage kids go here and is crowded most of time.....Extremely reasonable prices for what you get.....
was one of my favorite place in savannah when i lived there [now living in atlanta].The slices are huge and the wait is worth it for a slice,my favorite spot is at the bar by the A/C vent on a hot day in savannah.
We had an old world white pizza with mozzarella and mushrooms and tomatoes. OMG- it was so awesome. I want some now as I am writing this review. The pizza was large, my friend and I could only eat two pieces each and we were starving. We happened upon it because what we had planned to eat at was closed...LUCKY US!
Unique place, great pizza, and cold beer!!! Slices are so big that I can only eat one----but feel compelled to take a slice home too. My favorite thing about Vinnie's is to sit outside during the summer months and people watch. Interesting how many motorcycles are down there, and quite tempting---to go ask a fella for a ride :) My friend told me the place is Dog-friendly too!!!
I have never in my life had pizza this good. I first ate at Vinnie Van Go Go in 2002 and I always make a trip up there when i'm in the area. I order three large pizzas so it last me. I highly recommend you stop by here if your ever in the area.
